Coaching Staff

Head Coach: Curtis Brown
I was born in 1961 and raised in Lebanon Oregon. I graduated from Lebanon Union High School in 1980. I started swimming at the age of 7 years old and swam competitively from 9 to 22 years old. In 1983 I was trying to qualify for both the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Freestyle for the 1984 Olympic trials.
After high school, I went into the United States Marine Corps for 4 years of active duty and 16 years with the Marine Corps Reserves. I retired in April of 2000 after 20 years of service. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I started coaching the Stayton YMCA Manta Ray club team in October of 2000, and did that for 14 years. In November of 2000, I started as Head coach of the Stayton High School Swim Team, and I am in my 22nd year there.
I married my wife, Larissa, in 1997. We have 2 boys, Ryan and Caleb. We love to go camping and traveling to State and National Parks. My hobbies are camping, fishing and hunting.
