| 2026 Heartland Area Championships The Heartland Area Championship Meet is the premier end-of-season YMCA competition for our region, bringing together approximately 1,500 swimmers from 25 YMCA teams across the West, Central, and East Regions. Teams from programs such as FRAY, SCCY, EDWY, JCAY, CMTY, YOSI, MEXY, and many others come together for this championship event. The meet is held annually at the Chuck Fruit Aquatic Center in Edwardsville, Illinois, one of the top competitive venues in the Midwest. Unlike regular-season duals or invitationals, the Heartland Area Championship requires swimmers to qualify for each event by achieving published Area qualifying times during the season. This is the biggest meet of the year—an exciting, high-energy culmination of each athlete’s hard work, progress, and dedication. |
