Coach Amber - AKA Coach Blondie
Amber Kimmel, founder/owner of Coach Blondie Tumble and Cheer. Making her dream a reality!
Amber has been involved in cheerleading for almost 20 years, respectively, as an athlete (participated on a nationally ranked team), judge, coach, and part of the NCA (National Cheerleaders Association) camp management team. She has coached athletes from 3-22 years of age working with various types of cheerleading groups (elementary, all-star, high school, and collegiate). Amber currently serves as a judge for various events (local high school competitions, districts, and all-star events). When judging all-stars, she primarily serves as the tumbling judge and at times judges the “overall” category. Amber is certified in level 1-6 through for tumbling AND is a certified legality judge through USASF. You will know when she is judging – she has become known as the judge that smiles and cheers everyone on.
Last year (2020-2021), her FIRST all star team competed. Even with COVID, the athletes of the Youth Level 1 PLATINUM team won many first and second place awards. The teams this brought home several first place banners/trophies AND were able to obtain a bid to The One. This year, we are adding more of the “shades of blonde”. Altogether, the gym is growing and will have the following all-star teams: ASH, PLATINUM, and PEARL. We are EXCITED to be adding FROST and ICE (hip hop team) to the roster.
In addition to owning/operating her tumbling business, she serves as a consultant. Her consulting work includes cleaning up routines prior to competitions, offering motivational workshops to athletes (also hired for higher education institutions for incoming freshmen), and offering choreography/stunt/skill camps. Her clients come from various states (Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York). Many of her choreographed routines have won 1st and even placed top ten in the state of Pennsylvania. She is also currently certified through ACE (American Council on Exercise) as a Health Coach.
Amber currently resides in the New Bethlehem area with her husband (John), son (Niko), and their awesome hairless cat (Cuddlecakes).
Coach Chelsey
Chelsey Davenport lives in New Bethlehem and graduated from Kiski Area High School in Vandergrift, PA. She started in ballet, Tap and Jazz at age 6 and continued dancing until the 7th grade. She then began cheering for Youth Pee Wee football in elementary school and continued to cheer for Kiski High school until 9th grade.
Her love for cheer continued to grow and she then joined the Twist and Shout all star cheerleading team from 6th grade to senior year of high school. Chelsey had traveled the East Coast for many competitions and participated in the 2004 NFL pro bowl half time routine. She has a 3 year old daughter, Harleigh, who will be joining CBTC’s novice Pearl team this year!
