Great performances at JO's

 
This weekend at Concord, LAC swimmers had some great performances!  Here are some highlights:  

Chris Gonzalez, finalist in 50 and 100 fly 

Alex Gonzalez, finalist in 200 back, 1st alternate 100 bk, best times 100 fly, 200 fly, 200 IM 

Stephen Mackanic, finalist in 200 back 

Nina Hayes, 2nd place 200 back, finalist in all other events 

Katie Kulp, 2nd place 1500 free, finalist in 400IM, 200fl, 200fr

Brandon Siu, 3rd place 50 free 

Shahini Ananth, best time 200, 400 IM 

Caroline Eckel, best time 50 free, new FW time 

Franco Moufarrej, best time 50bk, 100fl, 50fr

Tori Carroll, best long course times in 50, 100, 200 br 

Celine Nuygen, best long course times in 100, 200 br 

On all of our finals, LAC swimmers moved up in place and dropped time from the morning.  This is the mark of mentally tough swimmers.  This was a training meet for our Senior swimmers as they will be shaving at Clovis in two weeks.  Although most of them did not stay for finals, many took positive steps forward at this meet.  Congratulations to Alex Gonzalez, Chris Gonzalez, Franco Moufarrej, Caroline Eckel who will be representing LAC at Far Westerns in San Jose while the Senior group is in Clovis.  Also congratulations to Amanda Butcher, Taber daCosta, Franco Moufarrej, Jacqueline Arnold, Chris Gonzalez, Jenna Chew, Megan Fairbanks, Sofia Moufarrej, Caroline Eckel, and Alex Gonzalez who all made new JO or Far Western Times this summer.  We are looking forward to a great summer season finale!
