Great College Conference Meets for LAC Alumni
Hello LAC Family, the last couple of weeks have held the Conference Championships for our College LAC Alumni.
Katie Ottman, Melinda Davis, Chenoa Bodero, Jacob Nixon, and Anna Freidrich wrapped up their swimming careers with Biola, Azusa Pacific, Cal State East Bay, Oaklahoma Christian University and Hawaii. They were all tremendous LAC leaders and athletes and now they are heading into graduate studies and the working world. All incredible people with wonderful futures ahead of them.
Bryson Huey just finished his Junior year at UNLV, winning the WAC in the 50 free with a time that may qualify him for NCAA championships. He also was able to qualify for Olympic Trials in the 50 free this season.
Abby Herscu, Minh-nha Kawamura, and Jacques Grove, all Sophomores, made finals in their Conferences at Cal, UCSD and Cornell respectively. Abby has swum a time in the 200 breast that look like it will qualify for NCAA Championships. Abby, Minh-nha and Jacques all got lifetime best times at their Championship meets.
Jack Davis, Jack Hendrick and Lilli Chau just finished their freshmen years at Occidental College, UCSB and Cal Poly respectively. Jack Davis got two best time relay splits at his conference. He also played water polo for Occidental this season. Jack Hendrick was a multi event finalist for UCSB. Lilli Chau had injuries this season and was unable to compete at conference.
What an amazing group of Alumni we have! We are thankful that we have been able to keep in touch with them and follow their paths toward adulthood after leaving high school. They are a group of great students and great people who are moving toward awesome things in life. Way to go LAC Alumni, we're proud of you!
