Blackfish A and Blackfish B
Age: 10 & Under
Ability: Water safe to be in water over the depth of their head without the ability to stand on the bottom and no instructor in the water
Attitude/Maturity: Independent and eager to listen and learn from coaches
Objective: Prepare to learn streamline and 4 competitive strokes for BBST
Schedule: 2 swims per week, 30 minutes per practice

Orcas
Age: 11 - 14 years old
Ability: Water safe to be in water over the depth of their head without the ability to stand on the bottom and no instructor in the water, have been introduced to the 4 competitive strokes previously
Attitude/Maturity: Independent and eager to listen and learn from coaches about growth mindset and developing a self-awareness of their own body, and self-confidence through personal improvement
Objective: Continue to learn 4 competitive strokes and progress towards physical development and competitive goals
Schedule: 3 swims per week, 30-60 minutes per practice

Bronze B
Age: 10 & Under
Ability: Swimmers will have the ability to swim 25 yards unassisted of 2 competitive strokes, and a sufficient practice skill set to benefit from practices in this group as determined by the coaching staff.
Attendance: 2 swims per week expectation
Attitude/Maturity: Independent and eager to listen and learn from coaches
Objective: Learn how to be ready to swim. Master streamline and learn all 4 strokes.

Ability: Swimmers will have the ability to swim 25 yards unassisted of 2 competitive strokes, and a sufficient practice skill set to benefit from practices in this group as determined by the coaching staff.

Objective: Learn how to be a team swimmer, and lane etiquette. Master all 4 competitive strokes.

Age: 9-12 years old
Ability: Swimmers will have the ability to swim 50 yards unassisted of 4 competitive strokes, and have achieved a legal time in a 50yd race in each stroke, or the 100IM, in a sanctioned swim meet, and a sufficient practice skill set to benefit from practices in this group as determined by the coaching staff.
Attendance: Minimum of 3 swims per week expectation
Attitude/Maturity: Have an “I can do it” attitude with attentiveness to coaches and teammates.
Objective: Continue to master all 4 strokes, while furthering other practice skills such as drills, intervals, and equipment
Schedule: 4 swims per week, 60 minutes per practice

Attitude/Maturity: Independent swimmers ready to take the next step towards competition and goal-setting
Objective: Continue to master all 4 strokes, while increasing practice intensity without decreasing attention to detail. Each season, each swimmer will complete a 9-10 IMR score.

Ability: Knowledge of all 4 competitive strokes, ability to swim for 90 minutes per practice, and have achieved a legal time in a 50yd race in each stroke, or the 100IM, in a sanctioned swim meet, and a sufficient practice skill set to benefit from practices in this group as determined by the coaching staff.
Attendance: 4 swims per week expectation
Attitude/Maturity: Developing a growth mindset about learning and developing self-discipline.
Objective: Swimmers will learn proper practice skills to include using their equipment correctly with smooth transitions from one piece and set to another. Connecting practice to how we want to perform in a meet.
Schedule: 5 swims per week, 60-90 minutes per practice

Age: 11-12 years old
Ability: 3 or more 11-12 USA Swimming Motivational 'B' times, one of which must be in the 100/200/400 I.M, and a sufficient practice skill set to benefit from practices in this group as determined by the coaching staff.

Objective: Learn to train, while still perfecting the strokes through progressive drills and kicking sets. Each season, each swimmer will complete a 13-18 IMX score.

Age: 15 & Over years old
Ability: 1 or more 2A District Qualifying times Enthusiastic swimmer, with the ability to swim for 1.5 hours and knowledge of all 4 competitive strokes, and a sufficient practice skill set to benefit from practices in this group as determined by the coaching staff..
Attendance: 3 swims per week goal
Attitude/Maturity: A leading student-athlete who consistently strives to demonstrate a growth mindset and desire to learn and improve.
Objective: Focus is on learning and growth in athleticism, proper stroke mechanics, and attention to detail. Goals are based on preparing for and excelling in high school swimming, and learning a more in-depth proficiency in the skills around competitive swimming.
Schedule: 5 swims per week, 60-90 minutes per practice

Senior B
Age: 15 & Over years old
Ability: 3 or more 15-16 USA Swimming Motivational 'A' times, a 15-16 'BB" time in the 200/400 I.M, and a sufficient practice skill set to benefit from practices in this group as determined by the coaching staff.
Attendance: 85% attendance expectation. 4 practices per week minimum. If a swimmer falls below 4 swims per week (57%) for one month, they have one month to regain their attendance average, otherwise, a reassignment will be made.
Attitude/Maturity: A leading student-athlete who consistently strives to demonstrate ownership over the pursuit of their individual goals.
Objective: Focus is on learning and growth in athleticism, proper stroke mechanics, and attention to detail. Goals include individual and team goals, pursuing a higher competitive level, and collegiate swimming opportunities.
Schedule: 6 swims per week, 90-120 minutes per practice, 3x 60-minute strength sessions per week.
Dues: $271 per month
Senior A
Age: 15 & Over years old
Ability: 3 or more 2024 Western Zone Senior ‘A’ standards, and a sufficient practice skill set to benefit from practices in this group as determined by the coaching staff.
Attendance: 100% attendance expectation
Attitude/Maturity: Model of what a dedicated student-athlete strives to be within their team, LSC, and community.
Objective: Focus is on high performance, learning of individual stroke technique and race strategy, and team leadership. Develop an understanding of growth mindset and life balance with the pursuit of junior national and national standard goals while learning about themselves as athletes and leaders, and continuing their pursuit of swimming excellence in college.
Schedule: 8 swims per week, 90-120 minutes per practice, 3x 60-minute strength sessions per week
