Coach Russ grew up in Burke, VA and swam on Curl Burke (NCAP), Burke Station in the NVSL, and Ocean Pines in Ocean City, MD. He was captain on his high school team at Lake Braddock Secondary and continued to swim at East Carolina University. His favorite event is 50 Free. Coach Russ has loved watching CSC grow since its first season in 2021 and is excited for the continued growth and success of the team. Outside of the pool Coach Russ enjoys spending time with his family.

Coach Thalia has been swimming since she was 6 years old. She started swimming on the Manorgate Marlins, swam year round on Riptide, and went on to swim for four years at the University of Mary Washington where she was awarded Rookie of the Year and qualified for NCAAs. Thalia began coaching on her summer team as a junior coach, then moved to assistant, and eventually head coach for three years at Manorgate. Outside of the pool, Thalia loves cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Coach Tammy began swimming in fourth grade on the Butler YMCA team in Butler, PA and was on the team through high school. She was a record holder and captain on the Butler High School swim team and went on to swim at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA where she was a captain, 9-Time NCAA All American, and record holder in 100 and 200 breaststroke and 200 and 400 medley relays. She continued swimming as a Master on Butler YMCA Masters and then Riptide Masters. Coach Tammy’s favorite stroke is breaststroke. Her favorite short course event is 200 breast and favorite long course event is 400 IM. Outside of the pool, Tammy enjoys spending time with family, reading, hiking, bike riding, stand-up paddle boarding and walking her dog, Daisy.
Coach David grew up in Virginia and began swimming at the age of 6. Shortly after he progressed into year-round swimming with the Riptide swim team. In high school he competed on the Varsity squad and taught group lessons for beginner and intermediate swimmers. David was the head coach of the Brookfield Breakers for 2 seasons and graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Kinesiology. During that time, he was a lab assistant in the JMU Human Performance Laboratory.
Anthony Garono, Assistant Coach

Coach Anthony grew up in Crozet, Virginia where he began his swim career with the Fluvanna Area Swim Team at age 5. Anthony would go on joining his local club team, Cavalier Aquatics where he would become a two time YMCA National champion. Anthony went to Western Albemarle High School where he was a four time state champion and three time National High School All-American. He is currently a freshman at George Mason University as a member of the swim team. In his free time Anthony enjoys coaching, cooking, and playing basketball.

Coach Patrick began his coaching career in 2014 as a junior coach for his summer team, Virginia Run and has served as a junior, senior, assistant, and head coach for Virginia Run. Patrick started his competitive swimming career at 6 years old on the Riptide Swim Team and continued swimming year round on the team through high school. While on Riptide, he competed in many championship meets and held multiple team records. He swam for Westfield High School, was a school record holder and qualified for the state team. Patrick continued swimming at George Mason University and qualified for the Collegiate Club Swimming National Championship all four years and was a team record breaker. Patrick is still an active swimmer and competes on a masters swim team and his favorite stroke is butterfly. Outside of the pool, Patrick works as a graphic designer and loves creating and spending time with friends and family.

Logan started his swimming career when he was 6 years old by swimming in the NVSL for Sully Station 1. Logan swam for Westfield High School and served as captain of the team during his senior year. Since then, Logan has been swimming on Virginia Tech's Club Swim team as the Vice-President and Coach while competing at the National level. Logan's favorite stroke is Butterfly, and his favorite events are the 50 fly and 200 fly. Logan graduated from Virginia Tech with degrees in Psychology and Business as well as a Master's in Political Science. He is currently pursuing law school.

Coach Jett has been swimming since he was 7 years old. He is a 3-time MCSL All-Star and a 3-time NVSL All-Star and a one-time All-Star for Little Rocky Run swimming the 50 Back and the 50 Fly placing top 4 in both events. Jett holds 4 individual Lakeview 13-14 boys records (50 Free, 50 Back, 50 Fly, 100 IM) and holds a record for the 100-Medley Relay and holds the 50 Back and the Medley Relay Record for the Stingrays. He was a member of the Centreville High School Swim Team and was a State Finalist in 100 Back, 100 Fly, 200 Free Relay and 200 Medley Relay for 2 years. He holds the 100 Fly, 200 Medley, and the 400 Free Relay record for the Centreville Wildcats. He was recognized as an All-American for the 200-Medley Relay at States
Coach Erin started swimming with the NVSL team the Sideburn Run Sharks when she was four years old. She grew up in Fairfax, Virginia and swam year-round for Makos throughout high school. She is an NVSL certified Stroke and Turn Judge and Starter, and enjoys volunteering at her local pool, the Fairfax Station Flyers. Outside of the pool, Coach Erin enjoys spending time with her family, running and biking, and writing.
Laura Wake-Ramos, Assistant Coach
Coach Laura grew up in Glastonbury, CT where she began her swim career with the Glastonbury USA Swimming Team at age 12. Laura soon fell in love with the sport, continuing to swim year-round with the Glastonbury USA Swimming Team, Woodledge Pool Club, and Glastonbury High School Varsity. Laura would go on to be Captain of the Glastonbury High School Varsity Girls Swim team, while also serving as a Swimming Instructor and Assistant Coach for Woodledge Pool Club in Glastonbury. Laura continued swimming at Penn State on the Club Team, and participated in Club Nationals. Her best event was the 50 Free and 100 Free. In her free time, Laura continues to enjoy training, and challenging herself in new adventures. Laura participates in a local Northern Virginia Masters Swim Team, Ironman 70.3 triathlon events, various road running events from 1 mile to marathon, and Ragnar Relay trail running.
