Qualifications for consideration:
​-Swimmers must apply first before being selected for the camp.
-Swimmers must represent a community that makes up less than 15% of the current USA Swimming membership.
-Swimmers registering must be between the ages of 13-16 at the first day of the camp. 
-Swimmers applying MUST have one single A USA Swimming time standard (standards found below)

Dear Athletes and Families,

Welcome to the 2026 PVS 15% Initiative Select Camp! We are thrilled to have you join us for a weekend of training, personal development, and connection with fellow swimmers from across the Potomac Valley Swimming community. This year’s camp will be hosted at the historic Howard University in Washington, DC and promises to be an engaging, empowering, and inspiring experience.  

Throughout the weekend, athletes will participate in multiple in-water training sessions, interactive classroom discussions, and mentorship opportunities designed to promote both personal and athletic growth. Our camp is built to celebrate diversity, foster community, and help athletes sharpen their skills in and out of the pool. We’re proud to provide a platform for athletes who represent a broad range of backgrounds and experiences to grow together and support each other.

Please find below a snapshot of the weekend schedule:

Saturday will include check-in beginning at 10:00 AM, two pool sessions, classroom workshops for both athletes and parents, and a group lunch. Sunday will kick off at 9:00 AM and follow a similar format, wrapping up by 4:30 PM. A more detailed itinerary is attached for your planning.
