USA Swimming Membership and Fees

USA SWIMMING MEMBERSHIP

All swimmers and coaches at MAC MUST register with USA Swimming. This registration is required to participate with a USA Swimming member club and entitles the swimmer to an excellent insurance policy and the right to enter meets during the year. Due to changes from USA Swimming, this registration must be handled directly by the swimmer and their family.

Starting September 2022 all USA Swimming member registrations and renewals will be completed online. Each family will be required to set up a family account and then register their swimmers and non-athlete members. USA Swimming will then collect the appropriate registration fees and notify MAC that the registration is complete. This will become a yearly process for all USA Swimming members. ​

Our club's returning swimmers who were on the following list don't need to do anything. Your membership will continue until the end of this year and the renewal process will be announced later in the year. 

For new swimmers who registered for this season and have never been registered in USA swimming before, the parents should create an account on the USA Swimming website and pay the membership fee by following the link in a separate email.

• USA Swimming Flex Membership: $30

- available only to swimmers aged 12 & Under

- allows for two swim meets during the year

• USA Swimming Premium Membership: $100

- all 13+ years old swimmer

- allows unlimited swim meet participation during the year

For New LTS(Learn To Swim) registrants: 

- If your LTS swimmer aged 4-7 has a class in MP only, USA Swimming Membership is optional due to MP's low pool depth.

- If your LTS swimmer has a class in OM/DSR(deep pool), a USA Swimming membership is required. All 13+ years old swimmers require the Premium Membership. 

* The USA Swimming Membership fee is included in the club membership fee you paid at the time of the registration. After the USA payment is completed by the parents on the USA Swimming system, the fee will be refunded to the MAC account. You can use the credit for a swim meet participation fee or the next payment. If you want an immediate refund, please contact coach Joung.
