2023-2024 Season Updates

Dear MAC Families,
As the summer season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've had together. We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our swimmers, parents, and instructors for making this summer one to remember. Your dedication and passion for swimming have made each day at the pool a joy for us.
We would like to inform you that the last day of Mini-prep, Mini, and Swim Team summer practice will be on Tuesday, August 1st.
For our LTS (Learn To Swim) classes, we have the following end dates: Monday class ends on Aug 7 Tuesday class ends on Aug 8 Wednesday class ends on Aug 2 Thursday class ends on Aug 3 Friday class@OM ends on Jul 28 Sunday class ends on Aug 6
While the summer season may be coming to a close, the memories we've created and the skills we've developed will stay with us forever. We can't wait to see you all again. Pre-Season Practice
FOR EARLY BIRD REGISTRANTS FOR SWIM TEAM
- Early Bird Registrants: Pre-season practice will begin on August 21st.
- Other Registrants: Practice for all other swimmers including non early bird swim team registrants, Mini-prep, and Mini Team swimmers will begin on September 5th.
Parents Zoom Meeting
Meeting Date: Saturday, August 28th
English Session: 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Korean Session: 8:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Meeting Material & Zoom Link: To ensure you have ample time to review the material before the meeting, we will share all relevant documents and updates via email before the scheduled Zoom session. This way, you can come prepared with any questions you may have.
Zoom Link Information: The Zoom meeting link and access details will be provided in a separate email before the event. Please keep an eye on your inbox for this information.
In-Person Meetings
Meeting Purpose: The main objective of these meetings is to gain a better understanding of each swimmer's abilities, goals, and preferred strokes. We believe that personalized attention and tailored coaching will empower our swimmers to achieve their best performance in the pool.
Target Audience: The in-person meetings are primarily designed for swimmers in the Swim Team. However, we understand that parents of swimmers in the Mini-prep and Mini Team may also be interested in participating. As such, we are pleased to extend the opportunity for in-person meetings to these groups as well, upon request.
How to Sign Up: To participate in these informative and interactive meetings, we will provide you with a sign-up link. This link will be shared with you via email at a later date, allowing you to select a suitable time slot for the meeting.
Your Swimmer's Progress Matters: We value each swimmer's journey and believe that open communication between parents, swimmers, and coaches is essential for growth and development. These meetings will provide a platform to discuss individual goals, track progress, and address any questions or concerns you may have.
We are eager to see you all in person and create a fantastic swim season together!
Dryland
We are excited to announce a special opportunity for our dedicated athletes who have registered for our 5times+ per week swim program! We're introducing a Dryland Training Program at the Manassas Park Community Center, designed to enhance your strength, flexibility, and overall performance in the water.
Who can Participate: Swimmers aged 12 years or older who are registered for the 5+ weekly program.
Dryland Schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays: 3:20pm-4:00pm
Wednesdays and Thursdays: 5:50pm-6:30pm
Program Details: Each session will run from September to Mid-November and Mid-December to February, with three weekly sessions during these periods. Specific details regarding the program and schedule will be shared with you at a later date.
What to Bring: Foam roller, Exercise mat, Stretching cord, Snickers(comfortable athletic shoes)
Registration Information: The deadline for registration is August 6th, so make sure to secure your spot before it's too late.

Benefits of Dryland Training: Dryland workouts play a crucial role in enhancing your swimming skills by focusing on targeted strength and flexibility exercises. The program aims to improve your overall swimming performance and reduce the risk of injuries.
Winter Break Intensive Practice for Swim Team
This program aims to provide additional training opportunities during the holiday season, allowing us to excel even further in the water. From December 17th to 31st, we are planning to conduct double training sessions in the morning and afternoon! Double training involves two sessions of swimming, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, which can greatly accelerate the improvement of your swimming abilities.
Please note that the detailed schedule will be announced at a later date, and there might be potential changes to the schedule based on the condition of the swimming pool. We will soon provide more information and the final schedule.

Participation Fee: The fee for each session is estimated to be around $10 to $15, covering the pool expenses.

Coach Moon's LST class
We are thrilled to announce that Moons Aquatics Club's esteemed Head Coach, Joung, is excited to introduce our brand-new Learn To Swim (LTS) class! Whether you're a beginner taking your first strokes or looking to refine your swimming skills, this is the perfect opportunity to make a splash and become confident in the water.
This LTS class is open to swimmers of all ages, from beginners to those looking to enhance their swimming abilities and stroke techniques.
- Small class sizes(6 swimmers max) for individual attention
- Location: MP(Manassas Park Community Center)
*** Please be aware that our swim club operates on a strict no-refund policy. Once the membership fee is paid and the season has commenced, we are unable to offer any refunds for any reason. This policy ensures the stability of our club's operations and allows us to provide the best possible experience for all members throughout the season. Additionally, we want to reiterate that no makeup sessions will be available for missed practices or events.

Who can Participate: Swimmers in Swim Team
About the Olympian Swim Clinic: Bryan Kim, an accomplished Olympian, will be sharing his expertise and passion for swimming with our club members. This clinic aims to elevate each swimmer's skills, technique, and mindset, propelling them closer to their full potential in the water.
Tailored for Your Success: The clinic will be organized by age group and tailored to each swimmer's skill level. This ensures that every participant receives personalized attention and instruction, addressing their specific needs and areas for improvement.
Highlights of the Clinic:
- Video Analysis for Stroke Correction: Witness your strokes come to life with video analysis, enabling Bryan Kim and our expert coache to provide precise feedback for stroke perfection.
- Sprint and Long Course Comparison: Learn the nuances of competing in both sprint and long course events, gaining valuable insights to excel in all aspects of swimming.
