Exciting New Programs Coming This Fall: Join Us for an Unforgettable Experience!
HYDRA Sports is expanding! Football, basketball and swimming programs for kids 4-18 will be complemented timely camps, triathlon, and adult programs. All programs are based at the American School of Doha using the fantastic fields, gyms and pools available there.
START DATE: Saturday August 24th Mark your calendars our programs will kick off on this date.
TRYOUT DATES: come to any of these at the pool, gyms and pitch to meet our coaches and learn more about the program. All of these times are drop in sessions – no prior registration is necessary.
Saturday August 17th 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Thursday August 22nd 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Friday, August 23rd 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The big news for those who have been involved with HYDRA is that we will now have online payments available for all participants. When you register, you will receive a confirmation email and there will be a link for you to complete your registration by paying for your child’s program. In person payments will still be accepted by credit or debit card in the HYDRA office.
FOOTBALL: two and three time a week programs available from U6 to U18 for boys and girls. Our new, head Football coach is Paul Bennion – not a stranger to many in the Doha football community. Coach Benny, as he is known, is from Stoke-On-Trent, England. He is a motivated and progress driven coach who has developed the game of soccer across Qatar for the last 9 years. Paul has built the biggest girls soccer program in Qatar and now strives to help grow a boys and girls soccer program here at HYDRA Football. Paul prides himself on building strong relationships with players and parents so everyone wants to learn and enjoy attending our sessions. Paul has worked at Evolution Sports as a football coach and BE Sports as the soccer director where he developed the skills to build and lead the team at HYDRA.
BASKETBALL: also offering a core of two and three times a week practices plus the opportunity for individual and small group work. Our new, head Basketball coach is Miroslav Zlatkovic – returning to Doha after several years coordinating high-level basketball camps from his base in Serbia. Miroslav is a well-organized basketball coach from Serbia with 23 years of coaching experience. Over 500 games and 15,000 hours of team and individual practices. Miroslav is very diligent and ambitious and enjoy a basketball-centered life. He is a FIBA license holder since 2015. Miroslav has experience developing and implementing curriculum for multiple age and skill levels from 5 years of age up to professional players.
SWIMMING: this established program will continue with twice a week lessons leading towards 3, 4, 5 and more sessions a week for those looking to race at a high level including internationally. Jeff Slater will continue as the Head Coach of the swim program. Jeff is entering his 6th year in Doha with HYDRA after previously working with age group and college swimmers in Canada and the Bahamas for the past 30+ years.
A team of experienced and passionate coaches and instructors will join these head coaches to provide high quality, engaging, and safe experiences for all participants.
