We are vigilant and pending the developments of the COVID-19, concerned for the safety of your children, our athletes. Based on the guidance and direction of public health organizations like the WHO and from our government and public health authorities, we will be adjusting upcoming plans for training and travel.

Training is cancelled for Saturday, March 14th, we will update you of any continuance or cancellations as we become aware. Additional precautions to take IF we resume training on Monday:

  • Do not let the athlete come to the pool sick with a fever, cough or otherwise unhealthy state – both coaches and swimmers will be sent home. No one will think any less of you whatsoever, if you are not feeling healthy and well enough to practice at the pool. In this heightened state of awareness everyone would prefer you err on the side of caution if you are feeling at all unwell, as you are showing care for your team.
  • Parents & Coaches, please remind your swimmers to NOT SHARE water bottles, food, hairbrushes, etc.  Parents, this means we’d ask you to be extra diligent in ensuring your swimmer has everything they need to be successful at practice.

Travel is likely what most people have the most questions about. Competitions will not be cancelled yet. The group reservations made at Maduro Travel for both Coral Springs and Cancun Open can be cancelled until March 30th without penalty. We must cancel on that date if there are no positive local and international developments in regard to the virus.
