As the days pass by, we need to adjust to developments for our families at home and at the pool. Schools are gradually moving their lessons online and we are aiming to do the same. Sports always nourishes and cultivates resilience, let us keep that important element in mind wherever we are. Our girls have GRIT, let’s continue to let that light shine!

Athletes

The coaching staff is compiling a series of tools to start with training next week Monday. This includes online sessions, videos, instructions, etc. Training Plan 21^st to 29^th

Events and Travel

All other upcoming events including competitions have been postponed until further notice. As was previously communicated, the group travel bookings for both Coral Springs and Cancun have been cancelled without penalty. As soon as we receive the refunds from Maduro Travel we will notify you and deposit the amount on the athlete’s account. The international competitions are literally in the hands of fate at this moment, because of the uncertainty surrounding this global pandemic. As soon as we hear something, we will share.

Message from the Board

Yesterday, as a board we held our first online meeting to discuss a structural approach to continuity for the core of the Barracudas club: our coaches and athletes. As we are also sailing in unchartered waters, we need to keep everyone involved and informed so that we navigate through this together and come out of it stronger.

We will continue to bill the monthly contribution fee as this ensures that we have the cash flow to support our coaches who have been and continue to work tirelessly to support our athletes in any way they can. It also ensures we help them transition through this time of potential change while we look to understand how the club’s finances and different government measures will work in practice. Therefore, know that we are going to work through it for the best possible outcome for everyone involved and will do everything we can to protect your investments recognizing both the short term and longer term time horizon.
