Hey, Sharks! My name is Maura Christian and this is my 2nd year as the team’s head coach. I was an assistant coach here for 5 years and swam as a Hatfield Shark myself for 13 fantastic years! I was also involved in NPAC and North Penn High School’s swim programs during those13 years and have recently taken over the role of the Head Coach of the North Penn Aquatic Club boys swim team.

Outside of the water, I am studying at Temple University, completing my degree in Early Childhood Education in the fall of 2022. I also enjoy baking cookies for my cookie business, Maura’s Cookie Jar.

We have a very exciting season ahead of us with many new and returning families join the Hatfield Sharks! Be ready for a season full of fast swims, time improvements, great friendships, and most importantly lots of fun!!

Assistant Coach: Jordyn Grossman

My name is Jordyn Grossman. I've been coaching for three years, but this is my first year coaching at Hatfield! I'm a student-athlete at Lebanon Valley College studying Exercise Science and I am the captain of the swim team. I graduated from Souderton Area High School, where I swam and played water polo. When I'm not on the pool deck, I enjoy reading and hiking.

Assistant Coach: Eva Welsh

Hey! My name is Eva Welsh and this is my 2nd year as a Hatfield Assistant Coach, and first time in 12 years not swimming as a Shark too. I was a diving coach at Lansdale for 1 year and was a diver on Hatfield and the NPHS team. I was also on NPAC and North Penn High School's swim, dive, and water polo programs for many years. I just finished my first year swimming and studying nursing at the University of Maine. I'm so excited for another great summer with the Sharks!

Assistant Coach: Sarah Poach

Hi! My name is Sarah Poach and this is my first year as an assistant coach, but I am not new to the Hatfield Sharks as I joined the team when I was 8 years old. I also swam for NPAC and North Penn High School. Butterfly and sprint freestyle are my favorite events to swim. I also played water polo for NPHS and we were state champions this year. I taught swim lessons for 4 years and lifeguard at Nor-Gwyn. I am a 2024 graduate and look forward to learning and swimming at the University of Toledo. I am really looking forward to coaching this summer and having a great season with the Sharks!

Junior Coach: Emily McMenamin

Hi everyone! I am Coach Emily McMenamin. This is my first year coaching at Hatfield. I have been swimming with Hatfield since I was 8, and I have been helping out with the younger age groups since I was 12. It was then I discovered how much I love teaching, and especially teaching swim. Since then I have began doing swim lessons, and this past year I even got the opportunity to Junior Coach at North Penn Aquatic Club! Other than swimming I love lifting weights, playing guitar, and spending time with my family. I'm so excited for this season with these awesome kids.

Go Sharks!
