Develop your child's swim and/or dive skills this summer!
For a great way to stay active during the summer, consider signing your child up for Manor Monsters. Choose between swim and dive, or do both! Teams practice daily on weekday mornings between Memorial Day and late July and take part in multiple home and away meets as a member of the Country Club Swimming and Diving Association (CCSDA).
We encourage all Manor kids to become a Manor Monster!
We have a Mini Monsters swim lesson program for ages 6 and under with 3 morning weekday practices each week where our youngest swimmers develop the skills necessary for water safety.
Swim and dive teams are for children between the ages of 6-18, and swimmers and divers take part in 5 practices each week (every weekday morning) plus multiple weekday evening meets throughout the season.
The Manor Monsters Swim and Dive program welcomes both year round competitors as well as summer-only participants.
Our goals for the Manor Monsters program are to:
- Enhance individual achievement through instruction and practice.
- Build team spirit through a positive attitude.
- Have fun by maintaining a balanced perspective. The Manor Monsters coaches are committed to fostering a team environment that encourages fun, practice, and a positive attitude. If your child enjoys swimming and/or diving, actively practices what they learn, and performs with a positive outlook, improvement will naturally follow.
2023 Swim & Dive Meet Schedule

About Manor Swim Team
The Manor Country Club swim team joined CCSDA in 1952 as a founding member. Over the last 70 years, Manor's swim team has been an integral member of the league, winning the league four times from 1996-1999. Currently, Manor is in the "A" Division along with Army Navy, Congressional, Kenwood, and Washington Golf.
About CCSDA Swimming
The Country Club Swimming and Diving Association (CCSDA) is the oldest private swim league in the Washington, DC area. Originally known as the Country Club Amateur Swimming Association (CCASA), the league was founded in 1952. There were 10 original clubs (Belle Haven, Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Columbia, Congressional, Edgemoor, Indian Spring, Kenwood, Manor and Washington Golf). The league has had a number of other clubs from time to time, but now consists of 15 clubs in three divisions and is home to more than 1,700 swimmers.
Though the league has always provided an environment for youngsters to swim and dive without dedicating themselves year-round, the 70 years of competition have fostered numerous Olympic swimmers--Mary Jane Sears (Chevy Chase, 1956), Kay Knapp, Marie Gillett and Susan “Dougie” Gray (Chevy Chase, 1956), Tim Jecko (Edgemoor, 1956), Tom Dolan (Washington Golf, 1996 and 2000), and Jack Conger (Manor, 2016). The league also has spawned several national swimming champions and a host of collegiate swimmers and divers. The CCSDA has been a model of parent involvement, with over 40 parents required to run a dual swimming meet. Finally, the league has been a training ground for some of the area’s – and the nation’s – finest swimming and diving coaches.
Age-group swimming provides a unique experience for the league’s children. It is a sport where 7-year olds are teammates of 18-year olds and their first place finishes count the same amount. Dual meet competition features close races, cheering teammates and parents, and wonderful, wholesome examples of team spirit and good sportsmanship. Our annual championship meet is fun-filled and pressure-packed at the same time, making for memorable experiences for all concerned. CCSDA parents, coaches and competitors share a commitment to build on the more than 50 years of competition and to preserve the legacy of the league’s founders.
