Manor Monsters Swim Update for the Week of 6/13/2021

Good evening, Manor Monster Swim families!

We hope you've had a great weekend and are ready for the busy week ahead! We have lots going on for our team this week, so let's get to it!

1) SUIT DELIVERY TUESDAY!

Suit orders are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow evening. We will distribute them at the pool on Tuesday from 11:00-12:00 and beginning at 5:00 ahead of Time Trial warm-ups. If you pick up during the earlier time slot, please have your swimmer come to the meet in their suit so that locker room space can be used by those who must pick up right before the meet.

We do have a couple orders that Cassel's has on backorder due to a manufacturing shortage. We will email you tomorrow if you are affected so that you can have your swimmer wear their practice suit instead. Thank you for your patience - Cassel's has tried to move mountains to get us outfitted and everyone will be squared away soon!

2) TUESDAY'S MEET - TIME TRIALS - LAKEWOOD @ MANOR

We are excited to host our first meet of the season with Time Trials here at Manor against Lakewood! Here are the particulars:

Date: Tuesday, June 15

Location: Manor CC

Time: Warm-ups at 5:20 pm; Meet begins at 6:30 pm

What to bring: goggles, MCC cap (if you already have one), team suit, cover-up, small activities to keep swimmers occupied between events (cards and small games are great), towel, something to wear if it gets chilly, and YOUR MANOR MANNERS (see below)!

Food and beverage: The Manor pizza oven will be available under the upstairs dining room balcony. The Pool Snack Bar will also be open for food and beverage service. A chit bar will be available on the pavilion.

Caps: Caps will be available for sale at the officials tent beginning at 5:20. Your Manor chit will be billed. We will know the price tomorrow when we receive the invoice but in 2019 they were $11.00, to give you an idea of what to expect!

3) THURSDAY'S MEET - NORBECK @ MANOR

Our neighbor, Norbeck, visits us on Thursday! Here are the particulars:

Location: Manor CC

4) VOLUNTEERS

Thank you so much to those of you who have for this Tuesday's and Thursday's meets! We are still in need of quite a few volunteers for both evenings. There are opportunities for families who are newer to summer swim, as well as trained officials. Please consider signing up - the key to successful meets lies in our parents helping out. Aside from our Coaches and Aquatics director, we are an ALL-VOLUNTEER TEAM. Remember, all volunteers will receive (2) free drink tickets to be used at either bar, to be used at any home meet this season! Click the links below to volunteer at this week's meets:

5) MANOR MANNERS

Every meet is a chance for us to show others what a fun, welcoming, and respectful team we are. Whether we are at home or away, we are counting on everyone, from parents to coaches to swimmers, to have their Manor Manners on display at all times. Parents, please remind your swimmers to:

Pick up their towels and trash;
Listen to all Coaches and Volunteers;
Say please and thank you;
Remain in the pool until all swimmers have finished the race;
Congratulate the swimmers in the lanes next to them at the end of their events; and
Cheer on their teammates as well as their competitors.

We are a classy group - and first and foremost, that's the impression that we want to leave with everyone when we head home at the end of the night!

6) PRACTICE SCHEDULE - MORNING PRACTICES AND MINI'S START THURSDAY!

PM Practices will be held this Monday and Wednesday (no practice Tuesday due to Time Trials). We transition to AM practices on Thursday morning (yes, practice will be held even though there is a meet that evening), when we will also welcome our Mini's to their first practice of the season! The schedule is as follows:
