Manor Monsters Swim Update for the Week of 5/30/2021

Greetings, Manor Monster Swim Families!

Well, this Memorial Day weekend weather sure isn't shouting Summer Swim, but we are excited to be kicking off the 2021 Season this week, nonetheless! Lots of action items and information here, so without further ado...

1. IMPORTANT DEADLINES AT-A-GLANCE

2. TEAM SUITS AND CAPS

ORDERS FOR TEAM SUITS ARE DUE TOMORROW, Sunday, May 30 at midnight! Click HERE to order!
All swimmers MUST wear the official navy blue team suit and Manor CC cap at all swim meets.
Cassel's will deliver all suits here. Suit distribution will be 6/15 prior to our first meet, Time Trials with Lakewood here at Manor. More information to follow!
If you are unsure of your child's size, a Fit Kit is available at the front desk of our Clubhouse for you to take to the locker room to have your swimmer try on beginning this Tuesday.
- All suits must remain at Manor.
- The Kit includes all suits in all sizes, general size guidelines, and slips of paper for you to take home with you to note the style and size to help you order online.
- The suits in the Fit Kit might not have the same pattern as ours, but they are the correct sizes.
- Please remember to neatly return all suits to the Kit so that the next family who uses it can find what they need!
Caps available for purchase at a later date - we typically have them at every meet.

3. OFFICIALS TRAINING

ATTENTION, TIM JOHNSTON! YOU ARE OUR WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER!!! For being the first and only parent (aside from the Team Reps) to get re-certified at last week's Officials Training, you've earned two extra free drink tickets, to be used at any home meet this season!!! Be on the lookout for a very conspicuously-dressed character on deck at Time Trials on 6/15 to present you with your award!!! S/he may or may not breakdance. ;)

We kid, we kid (no, not about the drink tickets, Tim Johnston - you are a WINNER!) but...

It is CRITICAL for us to have trained officials to help run meets, both at home and away. We know last week was late notice, but there are two more opportunities for people to get certified. The skill sets for these positions are important, but are also absolutely something that any of us parents can easily master.

Yes, officials need to be available throughout each meet (which typically run in 2.5 hours or less), but the perks are many! You get a fantastic view of the action up close, the knowledge that you are helping all of our kids have a fantastic summer, your kiddos get to see you involved, and did we mention the free drink tickets???

All previously certified officials need to be recertified this season, too. So, don't be shy, grab a friend, and please consider participating, even if you don't think you'll need it. Questions? We Reps are happy to help!

6. MINI MONSTERS

We look forward to welcoming our Mini-Monsters on deck in a couple weeks! Practices will be held from 10:30-11 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, beginning Thursday, June 17. More information about Mini-Monsters meets and events will be shared soon.

7. 2020 SENIORS

CCSDA's current plan for Seniors who graduated last year (2020) is that they are invited to swim exhibition at dual meets (no relays) and will have their own non-scoring events at Divisionals. They will also be invited to the next Champs to swim one final 50 free and be recognized. This is all contingent on social distancing being relaxed. If it isn't, we will have to revisit this plan in a few weeks.
