CCSDA Officials Training - UPDATE

Hello Manor Monsters,

Below is an update that was sent out by me to the league reps about Officials Training. A new make up training session has been added on June 15th and the meeting information for the June 6th and 8th training has changed. 

As you may know, the Stroke and Turn training on June 1st was "Zoom-Bombed" by a troll. We were forced to end the meeting after multiple attempts to remove the uninvited guest from the meeting failed. CCSDA has a paid-for account and we had implemented the standard security measures such as a randomly generated meeting ID and meeting passcode. We are in contact with Zoom to see what happened and have changed the suggested security settings to further secure the remaining training sessions. This will require users to log into Zoom before entering the meeting and will prevent participants from turning on their camera. One of the suggested changes was not to share the direct link to the meeting. So we have regenerated the meetings for June 6 and June 8. You can find that information below. Please disseminate the information to your pool of volunteers. We apologize to the attendees for the interruption and that we were unable to complete the training. Taking training requires giving up some of your precious free time and to have it wasted is regrettable. 

 

For those who need to finish the training, there are two options. On June 8th, there will be a combination Stroke and Turn/Referee/Starter training. If you would like to, you can join the beginning of that meeting and listen to the S&T part of the training. We will also be adding a make up S&T training session on Wednesday, June 15th. All training begins at 7:30 PM
