A Few Final Champs Notes
Hello Manor Monsters,
A few final notes based on the information I recieved at the scratch meeting.
- Each club is allowed to have one designated photographer on deck during the meet. Linda will be ours. Thank you, Linda.
- Please, no drop offs for kids who are 12 and under. Each swimmer needs to have an adult who is watching them.
- Parents, please spend some time in the team area to make sure our swimmers are behaving and the area is under control.
- We do not need tents for our team area, as it is under cover. But the kids may want chairs to sit in or towels to sit on.
- Manor's team responsibility at Champs are the trophies. We share this job with Montgomery. Today we set up the room. On Tuesday, we need to put the labels on the trophies and sort them into the boxes each club. If you can spend an hour or two helping out in the room on Tuesday, please email me directly at [email protected].
- CCSDA and ANCC are asking spectators not to save seats. There will be many areas to watch the meet from, including a standing room area at the end of the pool that will turn over after each event.
- Absolutely no body paint.
- While we have had some fun this season with our cannonballs during backstroke, jumping from the blocks will be frowned upon. If your swimmer is on the enthusiastic side, please remind them to enter the water from beside the blocks. Cannonballs are fine as long as they enter feet first.
- Finally, if your swimmer ends up as the #1 seed on Tuesday for their event, they will have the option to select the walkout song. There will be a QR code at the clerk of course available to make their selection. So, if your swimmer is seeded #1, pick a good song!
Thank you all for a great season. See you tomorrow and Tuesday.
