Centennial Boys Win Their First Meet of the Season
The Centennial boys swim and dive team won their first meet of the 2021 season defeating Champlin Park 96-82. The cougars won all 3 relays and won 5 of the 9 individual events on their way to secure the win. Hunter Belting won both of his individual events (50 free, 100 free) and both of the relays (200 free, 400 free). Other 1st place finishers were Senior captain Liam Gulaid in 200 free, freshman Alex Larkin in 100 butterfly, and senior Aidan Gillen in 100 backstroke. Max Schuerer swam himself to 8th on top 10 time of all time with at time of 1:09.72 in the 100 breaststroke. Senior Aidan Gillen swam himself on the top 10 of all time in the 100 backstroke placing 8th with a time of 1:02.39 with Sophomore George Atkinson placing right behind in the 9th place with a time of 1:02.66. The 400 free relay team of Hunter Belting, Liam Gulaid, George Atkinson, and Aidan Gillen swam themselves to place 10th on the all time top 10 list for the Cougars.
