Cougars Bring Home ALOT of Hardware from the Bengal Invite
Senior Captain Max Scheurer led the Centennial Cougars in its second place finish at the December 17, 2022 Bengal Invitational Swimming Meet. Scheurer placed first in both the 200 IM with a time of 2:00.88 and the 100 Breaststroke with a time of :57.57 which is a new school record.
The team brought home twenty medals, but more impressive than that, according to Assistant Coach Kevin Setterholm, out of thirty-nine swims that the team members completed, time was dropped in twenty-eight of them. Setterholm is very pleased with fast performances that the Centennial’s varsity team is showing so early in the season and he is very excited about what achievements will be reached by both the varsity and junior varsity teams at its December 20, home meet against Blaine.
