Kathy first coached at Roland Run for 2 weeks in 2018 as a substitute coach. This is her fifth full summer coaching, and she's so excited to be back as Head Coach! She was a summer swimmer for the Roland Run Stingrays for 12 years and was a club swimmer for NBAC.  Now, she is an elementary school teacher and will teach 2nd grade this fall.  In college, she trained with a British swim team for a month while studying abroad and found out they circle-swim the opposite way!  Kathy adores mint chocolate chip ice cream.   She is thrilled to coach what she loves to do!

My name is TJ Matteini, and I am currently finishing up my freshman year at the University of Vermont. Before finishing high school, I swam for NBAC for 11 years and swam for my high school team all 4 years. I taught swim lessons to kids age 4-6 at Meadowbrook and helped out with their summer camp for one summer. Since that, I have been a lifeguard which I have done for the past 3 summers. From the time I was in 8th grade until I graduated last year, I helped coach for the Special Olympics Baltimore County. Lastly, I am very excited to be at and coach for Roland Run this summer!

Elise is joining the Roland Run coaching team for the first time this season. She swam club and for the stingrays for 12 years and is excited to be back on the RRC deck. She is currently a freshman in college at WashU in St. Louis studying engineering. She previously coached the Elkridge swim team and is looking forward to being back at RRC. She can't wait to meet all the swimmers!

Hi I'm Tommy Hirsch and I have been swimming competitively for almost my entire life. My swim career began on the Roland Run Swim Team when I was 6 years old, and I joined the North Baltimore Aquatic Club in 2012 after I developed a love for the sport. I continued swimming all the way through high school at Loyola Blakefield and now I swim for Rollins College down in Orlando, Florida. A fun fact about myself is that my favorite fast food location is Noodles and Company, and my favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip. I am so excited to see you all this summer!
