Coach B is on the coaching staff for the Nations Capital Swim Club and has coached the Wahoos and T.C. Williams swim teams. He started coaching in 1973 as an assistant collegiate coach at SUC-Cortland in upstate NY. He has coached in Florida (started an age-group school team that beat the famous Pinecrest school in a dual meet), Texas (USS, country club, and collegiate), Mexico City, and the Philippines and during the past 20 years in Virginia (HS, CCSDA, NVSL, and CSL). Coach B resides in Alexandria with his wife and children. 

Jake has been coaching almost 20 years including USS swim team, summer league, and Masters. He stresses technique and wants everyone to remember no matter how difficult the practice, remember to smile! Jake is a former Wahoo and T.C. High swimmer (former team record holder). Coach B still remembers Jake as a very intense swimmer during Wahoos and T.C. meets who always gave his very best in every race. 

Throughout her life, Kirsten has swum and coached at a variety of levels.  Early on, she swam at a lake and because her mom couldn't swim, she had swim lessons at the local Y. She was hooked!  She has competed in age group, high school, Division I ollegiate, masters, and open water/crossing swims. Kirsten has coached age-group, masters swimmers, triathletes, and Ironman qualifiers. She also has two boys on the team, Ronan and Bodie Lauinger. The best part of coaching for Kirsten is seeing the swimmers improve, correcting stroke/start/turn flaws, and making the sport fun for all!
