Members at Hunting Creek enjoy a competition-size swimming pool, two well-maintained tennis courts, basketball court, a children’s play area, kiddie pool and snack bar.

NEW OWNERSHIP IN 2021
Hunting Creek is a privately owned swim and racquet club. Owners Heath and Kim Edwards have a strong swimming
background and they are life-long residents of Columbia. For the past 21 years, Heath owned and ran the year-round
swim team Palmetto Aquatics, and he was twice named the South Carolina Swim Coach of the Year. In August 2021,
Palmetto Aquatics merged with the newly-formed Gamecock Aquatics, and Coach Heath retired from owning his own
year-round swim team. He continues to run the Palmetto Swim School (private spring/summer swim lessons) in his Forest Acres backyard pool, runs Hunting Creek Swim & Racquet Club, and runs "Coach Heath's Super Summer Camps."
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
- Summer Swim Team: The Hunting Creek Swim Team welcomes children ages 4 to 18. (4 to 6-year-olds must be able to swim at least 10 yards unassisted, doggie paddle or any stroke.) Our swim team traditionally finishes among the top teams competing in the Columbia City League Championship. Practices are held in the afternoons in May, then during the mornings in June. Meets are held on Monday and Thursday nights in May and June, culminating with the City League Championship, which takes place June 28-29 in 2025.

- Recreational Swimming: 11 am to 8 pm weekdays; 10 am to 8 pm Saturdays & Sundays; Beginning June 30th the pool will open 10 am every day until school starts. Please see detailed pool hour schedule HERE
