Royal Acres Wavemakers 2025 Pre-Registration Information

         2025 Swim Season is here!  Join the Royal Acres Swim team! 

Looking for a team that is all about Fun, Friendships and Freestyle? Eligibility

  • Swimmers must be between 5 years and 18 years old as of 5/31/25.*
  • Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the Royal Acres pool per the coach’s assessment **
  • Swimmers must attend three meets in order to compete in the Conference meet at the end of the season.             
  • Parents are REQUIRED to declare if their kids will be swimming in each meet by the declaration deadline. 
  • Swimmers cannot be added to the meet racing schedule after the declaration deadline.
  • Families must work at least 4 volunteer shifts in a season.  There will be an email sent when volunteer positions are open for selection.

*Swimmers under age five will be accepted on an individual basis at the coach's discretion, provided they meet the other eligibility criteria.

** If you are unsure if your child will be able to swim the length of the pool please join us the first week of practice (June 2nd through 6th) and our coaches will do an assessment.  If your child does not pass the swim test your enrollment fee will be refunded.  Swim team is a great place for young swimmers to build their swimming skills!

Practice Schedule

2025 Swim practices start Monday, June 2, and go every weekday, Monday-Friday with Saturday mornings available for make-ups.  The last day of practice is July 11th.  No practice on July 4 & 5,  in observance of the holiday and on July 12 for the conference. 

  • 8:00 - 8:45 ages 13-18
  • 8:45- 9:30 ages 9-12
  • 9:30-10:15 ages 5-8

Daycamp Families! 

Don't miss out on a fun swim team experience just because you are already enrolled in a day camp!  We want to offer daycampers a chance to participate on the swim team with flexible pratice scheduling!  This year we are trying something new- early morning practice sessions for daycampers! 

There will be 5 individual spaces set aside during the 8am practice session for daycampers to come and practice swimming before they go to camp.  8am sessions for Daycampers will begin June 2nd, and go every week, Monday-Friday.  Sign-ups for 8am daycamper spots will be first come first served with an initial limit of one 8am make-up session a week per child until we know overall interest.  We will communicate additional openings when they are available if you'd like to pick up extra pratice sessions.  

Daycampers can then also come on Saturday morning and practice with their peers at their regularly scheduled practice time.  This will offer daycampers the opportunity to practice when it works for their schedule and participate in the weekly Swim Meets on Monday evenings.

 2025 Meet Schedule

  • June 9th at Saxony
  • Friday Evening Special Event- June 13th at Lifetime Fitness- Chesterfield (This meet is not a conference meet and is just for fun!  Come get a some extra practice, earn ribbons and have fun with your teammates!  Note: This not a conference event and does not count towards the Gateway conference meet and points will not be awarded.)
  • June 16th at Country Lane Woods
  • June 23rd at home vs. Graeler Park
  • June 30th at Whispering Hills
  • July 7th at  home vs. Villages of Cherry Hills
  • July 12th Gateway Conference Meet (Details to come) You must participate in at least 3 division meets to be eligible to swim in the Gateway Conference.
  • July 14th End of the season Party!!!

Dual Meets Typical Schedule

  • 5-5:20 Home team warm-ups
  • 5:25-5:45 Visiting team warm-ups
  • 5:55 Kickboard race
  • 6:00 Meet starts

Royal Acres Resident Pricing

First Swimmer                     $ 180.00
Second Swimmer                $ 130.00
Third Swimmer                    $ 80.00
Fourth or more Swimmer    $ 30.00

Non-Resident Pricing

Non-resident families are required to pay the same swim team registration fees as the Royal Acres families, plus a $50.00 non-resident fee. Please bear in mind this is a swim team membership only, not a pool membership.  Drop check payable to Royal Acres Swim team at 13246 Bonroyal Drive.

Pricing includes salaries, insurance, pool usage, league dues and registration fees. 

Apparel

Swimmers can still wear their suits from last year, but we would like all swimmers to have a purple suit.  Team swimsuits and gear can be purchased directly from our supplier:
