Gaels Take Home 2nd Place at Sunset Regionals
The Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive Team brought home the 2nd place trophy at the NIAA 4A Sunset Regional Championship this past Friday for both the boys and girls meets! Between the two teams, 24 swimmers qualified for Friday's Final sessions. We had numerous top 8 finishes, best times and state qualifying swims.
A few highlights:
-Olivia Gordon broke the Regional record by over 50 points to take her second consecutive Regional diving championship
-The Boy's 200 Medley Relay (Dylan Becker, Bryce Rounds, Mason Maluafiti, Nick Becker) broke the Regional Record AND school record in route to their title
-The Girl's 200 Medley Relay (Devyn Wingender, Emma Breslin, Caroline Anderson, Hayley Linderer) won the Regional Championship along with earning a 2nd consecutive State birth
