The final meet of the 2024 Swim/Dive season took place yesterday as our Gorman Gael Boys raced at the 2024 NIAA 5A State Championship. Though we only had SIX swims, our boys finished in 5th place overall! It was truly a great day for the Gaels. Everyone one of our 6 swims either moved up in seeding, held their seeding, and/or dropped time from their seeds. We were loud, swimming fast, and made our presence felt! Way to go Gorman. Highlights of the meet below, full results can be found...

And just like, that is a wrap on the Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive regular season. The Gaels closed out the season falling to State powerhouse Palo Verde on both the girl's (226-71) and boy's side (190-104). Neither Gael's side was at full strength for final dual meet and the coaches are confident things will be much closer when it counts in a couple weeks. Full results are uploaded into TU and can be found here. The boys finished the regular season with a 3-1 dual meet record, while the...
We say this every season, but it never ceases to amaze us... Getting to see our Gaels improve week over week over week is the best feeling! Our Gorman Gaels had a great team effort meet yesterday in Henderson. Teammates continued to drop time in events and step up to swim new/more challenging races. When the dust settled, our Gorman boys beat the Cougars by 6 points (146-140) for the first time in my 8 years at Gorman! Our girls fell to the very strong, 2x time defending State Champ...
After another strong week of training, the Gaels saw our hard work start to pay off in our meet vs Foothill! The Gaels came away victorious on both girls (169-102) AND the boys (152-63) sides. This past Saturday, the Gaels took on Faith Lutheran High School in our first "real" dual meet of the season. Faith Lutheran is a very strong opponent for us as they compare well with both their team size and number of experienced swimmers. As a result there was some great racing throughout the meet. When the final tally came in our, our girls team fell to the Crusaders 189-96, while our boys won by a score of 156-130. That said, the Coaching Staff is very pleased with our performances! Even...
