Happy Spring Break Gaels! I hope you all had a relaxing and safe Spring Break. We are excited to get back into it Monday and hit the ground running. We will resume regular practices Monday-Friday, 3:30-5:00pm at Desert Breeze. The coaches look forward to seeing you all again and picking up where we left off with our skills and training.

Spring Break Invite Meet Results
Spring Break Invite Results were finally posted. Here is a link to the PDF results. They are also uploaded into to TU and viewable under your profile. We also added relay splits!
 
Upcoming Meet Commitment Deadline: Week 3 vs Faith Lutheran
If you haven't already, please log into your TU account and commit to our next meet vs Faith Lutheran. This is the first "regular" meet of the season. The sign up deadline is TOMORROW! I will verify with the athletes Monday at practice or via text. While you are logged in, go through the rest of the season and commit to the remaining meets. You can always change your commitment if something comes up.
 
Arrival times, line-ups, relays, etc will all be published at the end of the week.
 
Reminder all student athletes must compete at over half of our meets to receive a Varsity Letter.
 
Commit to each meet via TU by:
  1. Log in to the TU site
  2. Go to the Meets tab
  3. Click the red "EDIT COMMITMENT" button for the meet you are RSVPing for
  4. Click on the name of the member you are RSVPing for
  5. Declare "yes" or "no" that you can attend the meet
    • If you have a special circumstance where you might be late, need to leave early, or anything else the coaches need to know, = elaborate accordingly in the notes field
  6. Click "Save changes"

 

Team Backpacks have arrived!
TYR Team Backpacks have arrived. We will give them out at practices this week. If you were on the team 2 years ago and already have a backpack, I did not plan on you receiving a new one. If you lost yours, or your old one needs replacing, we should have some leftover to give you one. But new members to the team will take priority.
 
Meet Results & Times Database
A huge benefit of using TeamUnify as our team website is the times database feature. All meet results will be uploaded to this website following our meets so you can track your times and improvements. Yesterday's meet is already uploaded. The coaches have added a meet called "2024 Season Practice Times" where we are adding all times that we record in practice. If you were at the practices where we did time trials, your results will be upload throughout the season. We will do the same for splits taken at the meets. If you were on the team in the past, you can access your old times as well.
 
To access your results:
  • Log into your account
  • In the toolbar on the left side of the screen, go to "My Account"
  • "My Meet Results"
  • This will bring you to a menu with a variety of ways to see your swims
