The first "block of competitions" of the 2024 season is in the books. The last of the season's "Invites" saw the Bishop Gorman Swim/Dive team continue to try new events and race against a huge pool of competition from across Las Vegas. The Coaches are already seeing noticeable improvements in our skills and times. The highlights of the meets was so many of our teammates getting out of their comfort zone and racing new/challenging races! We also got to do relays yesterday for the first time which saw new teammates...

The first Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive meet of the 2024 season was a great success! Considering it will be far and away the biggest and most hectic meet of the season, the coaches thought all the Gaels handled themselves extremely well and had some great races. It is always amazing to watch the improvement from this first meet to the end of the season. Results from the 2024 Bob Swift Invite can be found here. The coaches are looking forward to seeing us race again this week before Spring...

Congratulations to all of you who earned letters, academic awards, or special team awards. A special thank you to Jennifer Moore for helping organize the evening. The season concluded this past Saturday in Carson City as 10 teammates raced at the NIAA 5A State Championships. Overall, the Girls team finished in 9th with 24 points. The boys ended their season in 12th with 16 points scored. Our...

3RD PLACE x2 At the NIAA 5A Regional Championship Finals yesterday, the Gaels raced to 3rd place finishes on both the Boy's and Girl's sides! This was our highest finish since 2019. Both sides finished behind traditional powers Palo Verde & Coronado. The Boy's race was particularly exciting as we jumped 2 teams in the last event to take home the 3rd place title (and qualified for State while doing so). Overall, the Gael's did an amazing job stepping up and racing at Finals. In nearly every individual swim, our...

We had a number of teammates pick up new Regional times and even more swim the fastest they have all season. It is truly incredible how much better we have gotten in 3 short months! Full results can be found here and are uploaded into TU. This week we have the NIAA 5A Regional Championship. More info below and will be published shortly. Do I still...

This past Saturday, the Gaels took on Swimming power house Palo Verde. Seeing as it was the day of prom and many of our club teammates were unavailable, we fell to the Panthers by a large margain on both the boys and girls sides. While this result wasn't unexpected, we did an awesome job racing on Saturday. We had a number of teammates earn their first Regional cuts, had some super fun and competitive relays, and got to honor our Seniors before the meet. Overall, it was a good Saturday...

The Gaels had a very competitive meet this past Saturday in sunny Henderson. We took on the defending Girls 5A State Champs and runner-up boys and boy did we have some fun, close races. When the dust settled, Coronado ended up pulling away from the girls by a good margain. On the boys side, we fell to the Cougars by ONE POINT, 143-142. That goes to show how important EVERY race is and every point counts. Great racing Gaels, it is truly amazing how much improvement we are seeing week...

The Gaels picked up two victories this past weekend as we took on Foothill High School. Both the boys and girls teams dominated the meet from start to finish. The coaching staff was excited to see how aggressive we raced and loved seeing our teammates step outside of their comfort zones trying new races. Way to go Gorman! Full results can be found here and are uploaded into TU. Please make sure you are signing up for meets ahead of time and getting your swims in. We are less then...
