Weekly BGHS Swim/Dive Update - Mar. 4, 2024
The first Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive meet of the 2024 season was a great success! Considering it will be far and away the biggest and most hectic meet of the season, the coaches thought all the Gaels handled themselves extremely well and had some great races. It is always amazing to watch the improvement from this first meet to the end of the season.
Results from the 2024 Bob Swift Invite can be found here. The coaches are looking forward to seeing us race again this week before Spring Break.

Meet Results & Times Database
A benefit of using TeamUnify as our team website is the times database feature. All meet results will be uploaded to this website following our meets so you can track your times and improvements. Yesterday's meet is already uploaded. The coaches have also added a meet called "2024 Season Practice Times" where we are adding all times that we record in practice. If you were at the practices where we did time trials, your results will be upload throughout the season. If you were on the team in the past, you can access your old times as well.
To access your results:
- Log into your account
- In the toolbar on the left side of the screen, go to "My Account"
- "My Meet Results"
- This will bring you to a menu with a variety of ways to see your swims
Sunset Invite AND Spring Break Invite Commitment Deadline YESTERDAY!
Yesterday was the deadline to sign-up for this weeks meets: Sunset Invite (Thur. 3/7) and the Spring Break Invite (Sat. 3/9). The coaches will be finalizing line-ups for both meets today. Please go through and RSVP for all of the remaining meets for the season.
Commit to each meet via TU by:

Log in to the TU site
- Go to the Meets tab
- Click the red "EDIT COMMITMENT" button for the meet you are RSVPing for
- Click on the name of the member you are RSVPing for

Declare "yes" or "no" that you can attend the meet
- If you have a special circumstance where you might be late, need to leave early, or anything else the coaches need to know, = elaborate accordingly in the notes field
- Click "Save changes"
Meet Information for both meets will be published later this week. Teammates attend Thursday's meet will be dismissed from school early to arrive to Pavilion Center Pool by 2:00pm. Release time will be announced Wednesday.
REQUIRED: Travel Waivers Signed and Returns
All Swim/Dive athletes must sign and complete a 2024 Season Travel waiver. This is a school requirement for all sports. Paper copies were distributed at team pictures on Thursday.
You may sign and turn them in by hand, or digitally sign them and email them back to Coach Michael, either way is acceptable.

Apparel
I will continue to bring team suits to practices this week if you need to switch out your suit or haven't gotten one yet. We will also have more suits and shirts in stock after Spring Break if we ran out of your size/style. Thank you for your patience!
Spring Break Practice Reminder
There will NOT be any Gorman swim practices March 11-15 for Spring Break. We will have regular practices this week (3/3-8) except Thursday when we have our meet. and then resume practice again on March 18.
