The Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive Team brought home the 2nd place trophy at the NIAA 4A Sunset Regional Championship this past Friday for both the boys and girls meets! Between the two teams, 24 swimmers qualified for Friday's Final sessions. We had numerous top 8 finishes, best times and state qualifying swims. The 2018 regular season concluded with another pair of victories for the Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive Team! The girls team defeated Legacy High School with a final score of 191-62. The boys side saw some close races and finished on top by a score of 142-105. The morning was highlighted by some huge improvements and time drops. Several swimmers were taking off as much as 20 seconds on their times from the beginning of the season! It was also our Senior Day as we honored 10 of our Seniors!...

The Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive continued its strong 2018 campaign with another pair of victories over Bonanza High School! The Lady Gaels final score was 213-36 while the boys finished on top 202-52. Both the boys and girls are 5-1 on the season. Both team teams had several swimmers try new events on Saturday and they did an outstanding job in those new events. Despite having a small contingent of Gaels due to the prom festivities, Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive was victorious over Arbor View in the 5th dual meet of the season. The girls won with a score of 147-131, while the boys won 156-140. Both the boys and girls are now 4-1 for the 2018 season. The Gaels of Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive were busy prior to Spring Break. On Thursday, the Gaels took on multi-time defending State Champion Palo Verde in our weekly dual meet. We competed well and had many teammates try new events for the first time. Unfortunately, BG was on the short side of the final team scores for both the boys and girls. The Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive team opened up the 2018 season with victories for both the girls and boys teams over Shadow Ridge! The girls won a nail biter 148-146 while the boys took control early and won convincingly 177-109. There are so many positive take always from the meet that it is truly overwhelming. From start to finish the Gaels were into the meet, cheering and racing hard. Several teammates stepped up as leaders and made contributions to the team.
