The Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive, as of Thursday, March 12, is suspended until further notice due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive Regular Season concluded on a winning note yesterday in the final dual meet of the year. The Gaels took on Foothill High School and brought home victories on both the Men's and Women's sides. The ladies finished the season 5-1, pulling out another close win 145-140. The Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive team had two successful meets leading into Spring Break this week. On Thursday, both the Men's and Women's team got back in the win column with victories over Liberty High School. The ladies took down the Patriots 185-109 while the gentleman won 154-96. The 4th week of the 2019 Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive season featured the Gael's taking on Coronado High School in Henderson. Although we raced hard, ultimately the Gaels fell short against the Cougars on the women's and men's sides. Coronado is a perennial contender on the east side of town and it was great competition for us. The Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive Team faced off against Clark High School for the first time in a number of seasons Saturday. Despite having a small contingent of Gaels due to Prom, both the boys and girls teams pulled out victories! In the first meet of the 2019 Season, the Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive team swam to a split result vs a very competitive Green Valley High School. The Bishop Gorman Swim and Dive team wrapped up the 2018 campaign at the NIAA 4A State Championships this past Saturday at UNLV. At the end of the day, the girls finished in 5th place and the boys tied for 7th! That is a 4-place improvement for the girls and the boys held their place.
