Gaels Conclude 2018 at NIAA State Championship
The Bishop Gorman Swim and Dive team wrapped up the 2018 campaign at the NIAA 4A State Championships this past Saturday at UNLV. At the end of the day, the girls finished in 5th place and the boys tied for 7th! That is a 4-place improvement for the girls and the boys held their place.
The highlight of the meet for the Gaels was Olivia Gordon winning the Nevada State Championship in the girls 1m diving! Congrats Olivia!
Along with Olivia, the following Gaels were State Finalists:
-Caroline Anderson: 200 IM - 7th, 100 Fly - 5th
-Dylan Becker: 100 Back - 5th
-Emma Breslin: 50 Free - 3rd, 100 Breast - 3rd
-Mason Maluafiti: 50 Free - 5th
-Girls 200 Medley Relay - 5th (Devyn Wingender, Breslin, Anderson, Hayley Linderer)
-Boys 200 Medley Relay - 5th (Becker, Bryce Rounds, Maluafiti, Morgan Ma)
-Girls 400 Free Relay - 5th (Linderer, Anderson, Wingender, Breslin)
-Boys 400 Free Relay - 4th (M. Ma, John Sullivan, Theo Delmonaco, Maluafiti)
