BGHS Swim/Dive Weekly Update - May 19, 2024
The final meet of the 2024 Swim/Dive season took place yesterday as our Gorman Gael Boys raced at the 2024 NIAA 5A State Championship. Though we only had SIX swims, our boys finished in 5th place overall! It was truly a great day for the Gaels. Everyone one of our 6 swims either moved up in seeding, held their seeding, and/or dropped time from their seeds. We were loud, swimming fast, and made our presence felt! Way to go Gorman.

- 200 Medley Relay (Montegrande, Diaz, Zachariou, Cardinali): 1:41.05 - 5th place
- 200 IM: Seth Basilio 1:59.78 - 6th place (2 second time drop from Regionals!)
- 100 Fly: Valentino Montegrande 50.36 - STATE CHAMPION & NEW SCHOOL RECORD
- 200 Free Relay (Montegrande, Cardinali, Basilio, Wenk): 1:30.71 - 3rd place (only .7 off the school record)
- 100 Back: Valentino Montegrande 52.47 - 4th place (.2 off the school record)
- 400 Free Relay (Basilio, Moore, Wenk, Cardinali): 3rd place
- Special shout out: Michael & Cian Dunagan cheering for all of our swims and being great teammates throughout the week!
No more HS practices
The season has officially ended and we will not have any practices.
Gear Bags Turn in
I am still missing a number of Gorman Gear bags (mesh bag + kickboard and buoy). Please bring these items to the banquet or you can drop them off at Bodyline Swim Shop during store hours (4460 S. Durango Drive, STE A, Las Vega NV 89147)
