IMPORTANT: Weekly Head Coach Update (2/27)

The first week of the 2022 Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive season is in the books! We have over 50 student athletes joining the team this season. After a strong first week of practices and getting back into the swimming routine, the coaching staff is very excited for the season to come.
 
I have a ton of information to get out to you all. Please read through it carefully. Email me if you have any questions.
 
Welcome Coach Catie & Coach Katelyn!
I am thrilled to introduce Coach Catie Miller & Coach Katelyn Faulk as our assistant swim coaches for the 2022 season. Coach Catie is a Bishop Gorman alum and key member of 4 State Championship teams. She went on to continue her swimming career at Duke University. Coach Katelyn comes to us with a ton of experience coaching with the Sandpipers for the past 8 years, following her swimming tenure at Spring Valley High School. Both coaches will be tremendous assets for the team.
 
In addition, both Coach Chris Barber & Coach Ron Aitken will continue to help us out this season.
 
Parent & Athlete Zoom Meeting
We will have a mandatory informational meeting for parents & swimmers via Zoom Tuesday, March 1 at 7:00pm. I will be reviewing the competition schedule, team expectations, and more. Please do your best to attend. A recording will be published following the meeting.

Picture Day
Team pictures will be taken Friday, March 4 during our regular practice time (3:00pm at Desert Breeze). Come to practice in your school khaki pants. We will be handing out team shirts prior to pictures. More information can be found on the Event Page
 
Competition Schedule
We have finally have our competition schedule for the season! The events have been uploaded onto our TeamUnify site. They can be found under the "Meets Tab". I have also updated our  2022 Team Guidelines Information packet with the schedule.
 
We will review committing to meets, attendance expectations, etc at the meeting Tuesday night.
 
Practice Attendance
If you have not attended a practice yet, and you are NOT a club swimmer who has previously discussed an arrangement with me, YOU NEED TO ATTEND WORKOUTS BY TUESDAY! If I do not hear from you, or you do not come, you will not be able to be on the team this season.
