Weekly BGHS Swim/Dive Update (3/6)

It was another productive week for the Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive team. Even in just 8 team workouts so far, all of the swimmers are visibly improving and getting stronger each day. Keep up the hard work Gaels! The coaching staff can't wait for our first meet in 2 weeks.
 
Speaking of meets... Please log into your TU accounts and "commit" to the meets each week. The deadline for our first meet is next Sunday, March 13. We will follow up and confirm with the athletes the week of each meet, but using TU makes our jobs much easier.
 
It was great seeing the full team together on Friday at Picture day... And looking sharp in our new shirts and backpacks. If you didn't receive your apparel, I emailed you privately a little bit ago. If your suit or shirt doesn't fit to the point it is unwearable, please let me know and I will do my best to exchange it for you. It is hard to track down suits right now due to the worldwide supply chain issues, but we will do our best.
 
At Picture day Friday, one of our teammates' accidently grabbed the wrong apparel bag. We believe a female mistakenly took one of the boy's bags, with a male team suit and BGHS pull over. They then left theirs at the pool with a BGHS pull over and female size 32 suit. If this was you, please bring the apparel to practice Monday so we can switch them out.
 
Finally, a reminder that the Swim/Dive team will NOT have practices on days where BGHS or CCSD do not have school. A list of those days can be found on our website and is listed below:
  • Friday, March 11 (Faculty retreat/no school)
  • Monday, March 14 (No school CCSD)
  • Monday, April 11-Monday, April 18 (Spring Break)
