Weekly BGHS Swim/Dive Update (5/22)

And that is an official wrap on the 2022 Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive Season. It was great seeing everyone and celebrating at our banquet last week. Good luck on your finals this week and have a relaxing Summer vacation.
 
Merlin & Montegrande Compete at State
Julie Merlin & Valentino Montegrade both had great showings at the State meet yesterday. Merlin threw down life time best times again in the 200IM & 100 Back. In the 200IM, she improved on her seed and dropped .4 from Regionals to earn 5th place. In the 100 Backstroke, she held her 4th seed and broke the 58 second barrier with a 57.79!
 
Valentino made the most of his 1 swim, moving up two spots to 6th place and dropped .2 seconds from last week. Valentino was the only sophomore in the heat.
