Weekly BGHS Swim/Dive Update - Feb. 15
We are less than a week away from the start of the 2023 Bishop Gorman Swim & Dive season! We have finally received some concrete scheduling info and are just about set to get the season underway.

Competition Schedule Posted & Guidelines Updated
The meet schedule has been published. Please note it is always subject to change, especially the Championship Meets at the end of the season. The full schedule can be found in the updated Team Guidelines.
Each meet is also posted to the Meets section of our TeamUnify website and open for athletes to begin committing to each meet. Please go through each meet and RSVP. You are able to go back in and change your commitment if something changes on your end. These RSVPs are what we will use to create line-ups for each meet.
Commit to each meet via TU by:
- Log in to the TU site
- Go to the Meets tab
- Click the red "EDIT COMMITMENT" button for the meet you are RSVPing for
- Click on the name of the member you are RSVPing for
- Declare "yes" or "no" that you can attend the meet
- If you have a special circumstance where you might be late, need to leave early, or anything else the coaches need to know, = elaborate accordingly in the notes field
- Click "Save changes"
FINISH ALL OUTSTANDING PAPERWORK
Prior to posting this, all athletes who still are missing pre-season paperwork were notified of what they are missing via email. Please take care of all of the items on the Pre-Season Checklist ASAP. Specifically, if you do have a green "COMPLETED" note on your Register My Athlete, you will NOT be able to practice. You will receive an email notification when you are 100% good to go.
Practice Schedule & Reminders to be sent this weekend
An email will be sent out this weekend finalizing the practice schedule and procedures for the first week of practices. A reminder, our first official day and tryout day is Tuesday, February 21.
Athlete/Parent Meeting TBD
At some point next week, we will have an Athlete/Parent Zoom meeting. We will review the Team Guidelines, expectations, meet schedule, etc. The date/time of this meeting is still TBD.

Anyone who plans to go to the DIVE practice on Tuesday, February 21, please contact Coach Michael. You have to turn in special paperwork, signed by the Athletic Department, at your first diving practice to be allowed to participate
