Swim Team Jobs
Coordinators and Key Jobs:
Announcer/DJ: At home swim meets, provide music and announce swim race and heat, swimmers’ names, and race(heat) winners and time.
Attire/Uniform Coordinator: Organize the attire and uniform purchases and distribute them to swimmers. Coordinate family attire orders, purchase from vendors, and distribute.
Swim Bingo Coordinator: Communicate to all parents about open bingo shifts. Assure that shifts are covered and that Treasure is informed of any payments pending.
Equipment Manager: Responsible for setting up the pool deck and equipment for home swim meets. This position typically arrives two hours before the start of home swim meets and coordinates a setup crew responsible for all equipment, computers, speakers, canopies, chairs, touch pads & pickles.
Fundraising: Responsible for planning and setting up different dine-outs and fundraisers for the team.
Meet Administrator: Use the Meet Manager software to upload the events and swimmers for each meet. Adjust swimmers in or out of events as coaches make changes. Download each event into Meet Manager. Have swimmers come to your home or nearby park the night before each home meet and provide dinner/drinks. We break the teams up into 3 pasta parties (Varsity/JV & Open). You can cook or order food for the group of swimmers; boosters reimburse up to $200 with receipts. This is an excellent bonding experience.

Photographer Coordinator: Coordinate team picture day including individual pictures of each swimmer. Gather and organize pictures for the swim yearbook as well as the banquet slideshow.
Photographers: Take pictures during swim meets and other events of the assigned swim group (Open, JV, Varsity).
Senior Gift Coordinator: Put together Senior photo boxes and gifts.
Senior Meet Coordinator: Invite families of Seniors to come to meet, assign & collect Senior Bios, make sure swimmers wear black swim shirts, coordinate Seniors and their families to have photos taken, and coordinate walkouts.
Snack Bar Coordinator: Create menu items and coordinate donated items. Pick up and prepare other items sold.
Volunteer Coordinator: Arrive at home swim meets before the start of the meet, organize the check-in of all volunteers, and follow up with volunteers who have not arrived. Assign volunteer floaters as needed during swim meets.
Meet Jobs
Backup timer: Operate a Start/stopwatch at the beginning of each race and switch the stopwatch w/ lane if needed.
Floater: Help where needed, generally used if someone doesn’t show up for their job.
Runner/Time Sheets: Pick up time sheets from lanes after each race and deliver them to the Meet Administrator.
Snack Bar Helper: Help sell food/drinks at home meets.
Timer/Lane Writer: Write the swimmer's name, race #, and what level (Open, JV, Varsity), and write the time from the stopwatch on the time sheet provided.
Timer/Pickle: Push the pickle button after each race when the swimmer touches the wall.
Timer/Stopwatch: Start stopwatch at the beginning of each race (when light flashes on the official box) and stopwatch when the swimmer touches the wall. Report time to Lane Writer.
