MEET VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
-
Every family is required to volunteer at 2 meets.
-
Volunteers have to check in with the Meet Coordinator by 5:40 PM to get credit for volunteering.
-
If something comes up and you are unable fulfill the volunteer spot you have committed to, please remove your name from the online sign up page. If it is too late to remove your name online, it is your responsibility to find a replacement and email Carla Olsen before the meet.
-
All regular season meet volunteer positions require you to work the entire meet.
-
If your Gator competes at our Championship meet, your family will also be required to work a two hour shift at the meet or help in another capacity.
TIMER VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
-
Timers receive stopwatches from our Meet Coordinator. Please remember to return that stopwatch to your Meet Coordinator at the end of the meet.
-
There will be a Timers Meeting by the diving boards around 5:50pm. Please listen for the announcement.
-
There is one HEAD TIMER at every Home Meet. Please only sign up to be a Head Timer if you are an experienced Timer.
-
All volunteers work the entire length of the meet. If you are a timer, please stay in your lane until the Meet is over.
BULLPEN VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
-
Print the heat sheet and bring it with you to the meet.
-
Work with other volunteers and coaches to line up Gators according to Events & Heats.
-
Make sure Gators are lined up and ready to go to their assigned lanes well before their scheduled race.
-
Keep track of the pace of the meet and what event is currently in the water. This will help you figure out when swimmers need to be lined up at their assigned lanes. If swimmers are late, the meet may be delayed, and Gators could miss their race :-(.
Thank you for volunteering!
We could not run our meets without the help of Gator parents!
