Meet the 2025 Coaching Staff:

Head Coach: 

Bryce Mortimer

My name is Bryce Mortimer and I am a Graduate student at Old Dominion University, and I swim for the Monarchs as well. I graduated in May 2025 with a Bachelors degree in Sports Management, and am currently pursuing my Masters degree in Sports Management, with the goal of becoming a college swim coach one day! I've been swimming for 16 years, including 13 years with Ginter Park. I also swam at the club level for 10 years with Richmond Racers and SwimRVA. This will be my 6th summer as a member of the Ginter Park coaching staff, 1 year as a volunteer, 2 years as an assistant, and this will be my 3rd year as head coach. A fun fact about me is that I hold the school record at ODU in the 200 breaststroke!

Assistant Coaches:

Sophie Sullivan

My name is Sophie Sullivan and this will be my 3rd year coaching at Ginter Park. I am a rising Sophomore at Randolph-Macon College, and am on the swim team there. I was also rookie of the year for Randolph-Macon Athletics! I have been swimming for as long as I can remember. I have swam for a few local teams, including Ginter Park for 2 years, and SwimRVA for 2 years. A fun fact about me is that I played volleyball for two years in high school.

Xander Schreck

Hey! My name is Xander Schreck and I'm a rising Junior at Old Dominion University, where I swim for the Monarchs. My major at ODU is Mechanical Engineering and I plan on minoring in Computer Engineering as well with plans on working as a Simulation Engineer. This is my 2nd summer with the Dolphins. I've been swimming for about 15 years for NOVA swimming and a few different neighborhood teams as well. Along with that, I've taught swim lessons for about 4 years now at NOVA, along with a year at Ginter Park. A fun fact about me is that I am color blind and legally blind in one eye as well.
