LMT Swim Team HOUSEKEEPING Email
Lots of you just got my last two emails and you are probably more confused then you were for the last couple of weeks. No worries...this is the week we will begin helping everyone understand all this swim and dive.
This is the last week of afternoon practice. Please check the website to see your childs practice time when we move to morning practice Monday June 19th. You will NOT need sneakers when we move to morning practice. The kids will report directly to their swim lane at the start of each practice.
WEATHER DELAYS : In the event of thunder or lightening we may cancel/delay one practice but still hold the next practice. We will send emails out quickly to keep people updated on this info.
TEAM ASSIGNMENTS : Dividing the teams is a process. We hope to have the team assignments done by mid week. Once I have them I will send them out to everyone. Everything remains the same for everyone for practices. The only change is that you will report to your assigned team for dual meets. The first meet for both teams is on June 29th. The gators are home and the crocs are away that evening.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS: When you go into your team unify to declare you child for a meet you will also need to sign up to volunteer for a job for the meets. If you have one swimmer you will need to volunteer 3 times. If you have two or more swimmers we need you to volunteer 4 times.
NEW FAMILTY INFO SESSIONS: Before you panic we will walk you through all of this. One of the board members will host info sessions by the pool deck Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. One session will be 5:30 and the second will be 6:00. We will teach you how to declare your child for a meet, how to sign up to volunteer and talk a little about what each voluntter job looks like. We will even talk you through how to pack your childs bags for each meet (yes this is importnat info)!
SEASONED FAMILIES: Please take a few minutes to introduce yourself to new families. Answer questions and help them learn everything you wish you knew earlier in your first season with LMT.
