Good evening Swimmers and Families!
Congratulations to all of our Aqua Pentathlon swimmers on a great weekend of swimming! Included in this week’s email are some very important updates – please read carefully! This week begins our SPIRIT week!!! GO GATORS!
Practice schedule – Monday - Friday, July 12 - 16:
7:00-8:30 AM (ages 13 and up)
8:30-9:45 AM (ages 12 and under)
9:45-10:45 AM (ages 9 and under)
**MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY – long course (13 and over, experienced swimmers) – 6:30-8:30 AM
SWIM MEET (AWAY) v. WARRINGTON:
Our first and only away meet will be this Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Warrington (it may come up in your GPS as Mary Barness Tennis and Swim Club). Please bring chairs to sit! Arrival time is 5:30 PM.
SWIM MEET (HOME) v. ORELAND – RESCHEDULED DATE:
Our home swim meet against Oreland Swim Club is rescheduled for Thursday, July 22, 2021. There is a new event on the website for this meet – please commit your swimmer for this new meet date. Commitments from last week DID NOT carryover! Thank you!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
Our Championship Meets are right around the corner!
DIVISIONAL CHAMPS will take place on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Bustleton Swim Club (this meet is for swimmers 9 and up).
8 and UNDER CHAMPS will take place on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at LMT (this meet is for swimmers 8 and under).
LEAGUE FINALS will take place on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at LMT (this meet is for swimmers who place in the top 16 in their event from across the league – you will be contacted if your swimmer places in the top 16).
Team Picnic/End of the Year Celebration will take place on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 5:00 PM at the Pool. More information to come!
SPIRIT WEEK IS HERE!!
Let’s get ready to show our LMT Swim and Dive Team spirit! The schedule of this week’s events are as follows:
MONDAY: Munchkin Monday
TUESDAY: Go Bananas Tuesday
WEDNESDAY: Water Ice Wednesday
THURSDAY: Thankful Thursday – every year during spirit week, we complete a service project as a team and this year we will be collecting canned foods/non-perishable goods to donate to the local food pantry. Thank you for your generosity and support of our local community!
FRIDAY: Fun FRIDAY! Come to practice for a day of games and a soft pretzel treat to enjoy at the end of each practice. The raffle for the private lesson with David will be drawn on Friday during practice.
TEAM PICTURES and TEAM GIFT (T SHIRT) PICK UP:
The team gift (t-shirt) will be distributed on Friday, July 16 during practices beginning at 8:15 AM. We will be taking a team photo (in our snazzy new t-shirts!) on Friday at 9:00 AM. Please arrive between 8:15 and 8:50 AM to get your t-shirt and ready for the picture. Family/individual pictures will be available as well. More information to come – check your email!
SECOND MEET AND GREET WITH DAVID CURTISS:
LMT senior, coach, and Olympic Trials medalist, David Curtiss will be at the LMT Pool on Tuesday, July 27 from 4:00-5:30 for autographs and pictures before the start of the League Finals meet.
ODD AGE INVITATIONAL:
Registration is now closed for the 2021 Odd Age Invitational. This meet is scheduled for this Saturday, July 17, 2021 at George School (hosted by Brookside). Warm ups will begin at 7:45 AM; meet will begin at 9:00 AM. Swimmers will be seated outside; please prepare accordingly. All unvaccinated individuals will be required to wear a mask inside. Job assignments will be coming this week – please check your email as we will need volunteers for this meet!
Did you order suits or personalized cap?
Suits and caps have arrived! If you ordered a suit and/or cap, please stop by the swim team room during practice. Non-personalized caps are available for purchase for $10 (cash or check).
Also, please check the website (www.lmtswim.com) on a regular basis. Key areas to look at are: Events (you must be signed in to view events, commit to events, and sign up for jobs), Team News, and Team Calendar. All the dates for the season can be found on the Team Calendar and in Events!
