Good evening Swimmers and Families!
Monday edition of our weekly newsletter - our last one! This week we enter into our last week of practices and this weekend will be full of swimming as our Championship Meets take place on Saturday and Sunday. Congratulations to our developmental group who finished with their meet last Thursday! They were amazing! Also, congratulations to our DIVE TEAM who took first place in the league at their championship meet this past Friday. GO GATORS! #lmtproud
Below is important information regarding champs - please read carefully and bookmark :)
Practice schedule –
Monday - Friday, July 25-29:
7:00-8:30 AM (ages 12 and up)
8:30-9:45 AM (ages 9/10/11)
9:45-10:45 AM (ages 8 and under)
** Longcourse – Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:30-8:30 AM
SWIM MEET (HOME) v. WILLOW GROVE YMCA:
Our final dual meet will be on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 HOME against Willow Grove YMCA. Declaration for swimmers has closed. During this meet, we will recognize four of our graduating seniors. Arrival time will be at 5:15 PM. GO LMT!
11 and OVER CHAMPIONSHIP MEET:
Registration for the LBSL 11 and over championship meet held on Saturday, July 30 at LMT is now closed. Job assignments will be sent out shortly. Arrival time for LMT swimmers is 6:45 AM. Our warm up is 7:00-7:10 AM. The meet is scheduled to start at 8:10 AM.
10 and UNDER CHAMPIONSHIP MEET:
Registration for the LBSL 10 and under championship meet held on Sunday, July 31 at Warrington is now closed. Job assignmets will be sent out shortly. Arrival time for LMT swimmers is 7:15 AM. Our warm up is 7:30-7:40 AM. The meet is scheduled to start at 8:00 AM.
**Note... Parking is going to be tight at Warrington. There will be parking lot attendants to help. The very front row of the lot will be blocked off and reserved for pool members only. Overflow parking will be at the firehouse down the road (firehouse address - 2310 Freedoms Way, Warrington, PA 18976). It is about a half mile walk... please factor this in when planning your arrival as we have one of the later warm up sessions.
11 and OVER LEAGUE FINALS ** PLEASE READ:
Top 16 finishers in each event from Saturday's championship meet (11 and over only) will qualify to race at League Finals. This meet will be held on Sunday, July 31 (around 5:00ish) at George School. If your swimmer is attending Saturday's championship meet, please respond to this email whether or not he/she will attend Finals on Sunday if your swimmer qualifies (YES, my child will swim on Sunday if he/she qualifies or NO, my child will not swim on Sunday if he/she qualifies). Coaches across the league will scratch swimmers who cannot attend so those who may finish outside of the top 16 still may make it. Keep an eye on the results on Saturday and check in with a coach to see where they finish.
WEATHER REMINDER:
It is still going to be very hot this week. Please send your swimmers with a cold drink for practice. Many of our little ones don’t realize how much they are working in the water and the coaches will encourage them to keep hydrated. Please keep an eye on your email when the forecast calls for storms during practice times and/or meets.
Also, please check the website (www.lmtswim.com) on a regular basis. Key areas to look at are: Events (you must be signed in to view events, commit to events, and sign up for jobs), Team News, and Team Calendar. All the dates for the season can be found under Team Events.
