COMMUNICATION

It is highly recommended to download two free apps we will be using this season for communicaton purposes: Sports Engine Motion (formerly OnDeck) and Remind.
- Sports Engine Motion: Allows quick access to up-to-date swim meet info, events, news, job sign ups and more. If you completed registration with the Overlook team, you should be able to search and find the Overlook team through the app. Please note that when you search for this in the app store, there are several Sports Engine apps out there: please choose the Sports Engine Motion app and not others such as SE Play, SE Tourney, SE Team Management, etc.
- Remind: This allows team leaders to push real-time texts to the entire team (for instance, if there are last-minute meet changes due to weather). For new users, please use @overlooksw as a class code needed to register.
If you have any issues with these apps, please contact Julie Slabinski at [email protected].
Also, don't forget there is an Overlook Facebook account!

Woodridge Summer Swim Classic Shirt - Orders Due Monday, June 2nd
If you would like to pre-order a Woodridge Summer Swim Classic shirt, orders are due Monday, June 2nd. The back of the shirt will include the names of the teams in attendance. A limited number will be available for purchase at the meet. Pre-orders will be packaged and distributed the morning of the event.
Overlook Apparel and Gear Guidelines
Guidelines for what to wear and bring to meets and practice have been published on the website. Please note that hyperlinks are examples only and are not official Overlook gear picks:
- Boys wear jammers or briefs
- Girls wear one-piece suits. Two-piece suits are not allowed at practice or meets.
- It is not mandatory to wear suits purchased through our online store that include that Overlook logo. While you may wear any suit that fits the above criteria, blue is the suggested color for meet suits as it is the official team color. Any color can be worn at practice.
- Goggles
- Swim caps are suggested but not mandatory
- Please bring fins and kickboards to practice (not necessary at meets)
- Towel

Swim Meet Volunteer Jobs - Sign Up Today!
All volunteer meet jobs - including July 19th Divisionals - are posted and available on the Overlook swim meet page. We invite you to sign up for positions now - the earlier you do so, the better the chance you grab the ones you want!
For the July 19th Divisionals, if you want to make sure to sign up for a job during which you swimmer is competing, please be aware that 11+ swimmers are in the AM session and 10U swimmers are in the PM session.
BIG BUDDIES
We invite your swimmer to participate in our wonderful Big Buddy program! The goal is to pair older and younger swimmers together so they can socialize at the pool and cheer each other on at events.
Parents, if your swimmer is 10 years of age or older OR if they are 9 years old with swim team experience, please consider signing them up to be a Big Buddy. All swimmers 9 and younger automatically receive a Big Buddy and do not need to sign up. Buddies will be paired at the start of outdoor practices in June.
