Happy Fourth of July, Overlook!

MEET THIS WEEK

Skyline Charity Cup - Tuesday, July 1st - Sign up here or SE Motion app

• Skyline pool, 245 Eden Road, Lancaster PA 17601
• Arrival and warm up times to be announced later, meet starts at 6:00 pm
• Admission $5 (over the age of 17)
• Concessions will be available for purchase
• Gift basket raffle tickets available for purchase
  • 1 ticket $1/ 6 tickets $5/ 25 tickets $15
• Parent Relay - Calling all parents! Would you like to participate in this year's parent/alumni races? They offer two opportunities: a relay in the middle of the meet or a 25 freestyle at the end of the night before their annual banana boat race. If you are interested, please email Julie Slabinski at [email protected] with your name, date of birth and entry time (if you have one) by Sunday, June 29th. 
• Skyline Charity Cup raffle basket - Donations requested by Monday, June 30th, noon
  • Our team's contribution is funded solely through family donations. Please consider donating money through Venmo for this year's basket! We ask that you do so by noon on Monday, June 30th so that the parent volunteers pulling it together have time to purchase items and deliver our basket to Skyline. Thank you so much for your support!
  • Proceeds from the raffle basket go to local charities. This year, they are supporting the John Apple Swim Fund and SWAN (Scaling Walls a Note at a Time). 
  • We are donating a car-themed basket that will include a bucket, sponges, rags and car cleaner as well as gift cards to local car washes, Sheetz and Turkey Hill. 

OTHER MEET DEADLINES FOR THIS WEEK + RESCHEDULED MEET UPDATES

• Overlook v. Landisville (Away) - Cancelled June 26 due to weather, rescheduled Monday, July 7th
  • Landisville Pool, 50 Elmwood Avenue, Landisville, PA 17538
  • We still need a 1st half timer!
  • If you RSVPed 'yes' on the original meet date and your swimmer(s) can participate/you can fulfill your volunteer responsibilities on the new date: no need to update your RSVP
  • If your swimmer(s) cannot participate and/or you cannot fulfill your volunteer responsibilities on the new date: please update your RSVP on the Team Schedule on our website or the SportsEngline Motion app as soon as possible
  • Arrive by 5:30 pm, warm up 5:45-6:00 pm, meet starts at 6:15 pm
• Overlook v. Adamstown (Away) - Registration deadline July 5th
• Manheim Fast and Furious Invitational - NEW registration deadline July 2nd - Please note that when signing your swimmer(s) up you will be asked to pick their events (up to 3 individual). If you have already signed up, you must go back into registration and choose events for your swimmer(s) so Coach Cody knows which ones they prefer to swim.
• Woodridge v. Overlook (Home) - Cancelled June 19 due to weather, rescheduled Thursday, July 17th
  • If you RSVPed 'yes' on the original meet date and your swimmer(s) can participate/you can fulfill your volunteer responsibilities on the new date: no need to update your RSVP
  • If your swimmer(s) cannot participate and/or you cannot fulfill volunteer responsibilities on the new date: please update your RSVP on the Team Schedule on our website or the SportsEngline Motion app as soon as possible

DIVISION I CHAMPIONSHIPS

• Candy grams - We are selling candy grams at Divisionals this year and are in need of full-size, individually wrapped candy donations from you! We are accepting donations through July 14th at hte Overlook front desk. If you donate items that can melt such as chocolate, please advise front desk staff so that they can place it in a cool area. Thank you in advance for your support!
• Volunteers - We still have many open slots available. Please note there are no timing positions for Overlook parents at his meet. If you have any questions about what a position entails, please email Julie Slabinski at [email protected]

PEP RALLY

Please join us on Monday, July 14th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Overlook Pool for our annual pep rally! Please RSVP on the website and use the notes area when you register to let us know how many people are in your party (that way we know how much pizza to order). 

We will have games, a tie-dye station for swimmers to tie-dye the white team shirts they received with registration (please remember to bring your shirt if you would like to participate), and the annual coach lip sync battle. Pizza, drinks and dessert will be provided for all swimmers and family members. 

We will need volunteers to serve pizza and help tie-dye shirts. Please sign up here and thank you in advance for your support! 

TIME IMPROVEMENT RIBBONS

We are thrilled to announce this year's time improvement ribbon program! Ribbons will be distributed to swimmers 12 years and younger that improve their times throughout the season. Ribbons are for individual strokes at dual meets only. We have already begun giving out these ribbons; you may find them in your family folder. If you have any questions, please text Laura Beltle at 717-572-6735.

FAMILY FOLDERS

This is a friendly reminder to please check your family folders regularly. You and/or your swimmer(s) can pick up items during practice. They will typically be found next to the Overlook shed. 

BIG BUDDIES

Big and Little Buddies should now have connected! If they have not or if you have questions, please contact Laura Beltle at 717-572-6735 for assistance.

APPAREL

All suits, caps, spirit wear and t-shirts that came with registration are in! If you haven't picked up your items yet, you will find them in the Overlook shed with your name on it.
