SAVE A LIFE SWIM - Friday, July 18th
Overlook's annual Save a Life Swim is coming up on Friday, July 18th from 9:00 to 11:30 am! We will be swimming laps and raising money for the American Cancer Society in their fight against cancer. Make sure you check your family folders and the bulletin board at the entrance of the pool for more information.
This year, we will be accepting both cash and online donations! Cash donations can be brought to the pool and put in your swimmer's age group's bucket under the pavilion. Online donations can be made here: https://bit.ly/2025-Save-A-Life
After donations have been collected, the age group who raises the most money through both cash and online donations will receive an award at this year's end-of-season banquet. However, that's not the only award: the five swimmers who swim the most laps on the day of the event will also receive awards at the banquet!
Make sure to share this link to your friends, family, neighbors or anywhere online to help us raise more money! We are looking to raise $1750 for the American Cancer Society this year! That's just over $10 per person!
Please donate to help us reach our $1750 goal this year!
If you have any questions, contact Ian Mathers at [email protected] or 717-392-9746.
OVERLOOK SWIM TEAM BANQUET - RSVP by Sunday July 13th/Event Sunday, July 20th
You are cordially invited!
Overlook Swim Team Banquet
Sunday, July 20, 2025
5:30 to 8:00 pm
St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church
10 Delp Road, Lancaster PA 17601
You must RSVP with the number of family members who will be attending no later than midnight, Sunday, July 13th.
Doors will open at 5:00 pm. Please enter using the door at the back of the church closest to Delp Road. Dinner and program will begin promptly at 5:30 pm followed directly by a moonlight swim at Overlook Pool until 10:00 pm. Please do not forget to bring your suit and towel to change into after the banquet.
The cost for swimmers and coaches will be covered, but any additional adults and non-swimming siblings are asked to pay $10 per person. Please make payment in one of two ways:
- Credit card payments will be taken at Overlook Pool during normal operating hours. Please let the office staff know you would like to pay for the banquet. Include your family name and the number of people for which you are paying.
- Checks made out to Manheim Township Parks and Recreation can be left in the Pyott family folder at practice.
Overlook Swim Team is a family program. We welcome all immediate family members at the banquet. However, since our team has grown this year, seating at the venue may be tight. If you have additional non-swimming siblings, please consider finding a separate location for their dining pleasure that evening in order to give swimmers and their parents the opportunity to partake in the joy that the banquet brings. If these siblings would like to join us afterward for the moonlight swim, we welcome them with open arms.
Thank you for your understanding.
Any questions can be directed to Erin Pyott at [email protected].
FAMILY FOLDERS
Family folders will be available at practice, the next three home meets (any time before meet start) and at the banquet. After these dates, folders will be available at the pool front desk for the rest of the summer. Just ask the staff for them!
SLIDESHOW
We need your help to make our end-of-season slideshow spectacular! Got some photos and/or videos from meets, practice or just having a blast at Overlook? We want to see them! Upload them directly to https://bitly/3HHghSJn or use this QR code:
IN MEMORY OF PAUL JACOBS
We're deeply saddened to share that Paul Jacobs, our team's portrait photographer, passed away earlier this summer. For the past few years, Paul has taken the individual swimmer, team and coach portraits that many of our families have cherished. As part of our annual American Cancer Society Save a Life Swim fundraiser, we will be honoring Paul's memory this year. We also plan to recognize him during the banquet slideshow as a small tribute to his contributions to the Overlook Swim Team. Our thoughts are with Paul's family during this time.
