Welcome everyone to the 2025 season, (yay), and yes the water is a tad chilly.  We have plenty of fun events planned this season.  There will be a movie night, Friday pep rallies with fun and games and of course lots of treats.   Please look for emails from Coach Tyler with any schedule changes or updates.

I would like to remind everyone how this team runs, all of us (except the coaches) are volunteers and we all need to work together to pitch in to assure the meets and events run smoothly.  All families are expected to volunteer at least once, that includes timing, helping with Friday evening events, setting up the pool for meets and various other jobs.  Unlike other swim teams we do not add a surcharge for families that do not participate, we go by the honor system.  Please consider volunteering.  (and it does make the meets go by faster and more fun)

Also, let me remind you, if you have any issues or questions, please communicate with myself and Tyler only after or before practices.  The coaches need to focus on the practice and should not be distracted.  I will also be at most practices, so feel free to come by and see me.

This year we have a jammed packed schedule, with both “A” meets and “B” meets.  “B” meets are held on Wednesday nights, and we have three of them planned this year, all at pools within a few minutes from James Creek.  This is a great way to for the younger swimmers to get some “meet” time as they progress through the season. Again, like the “A” meets, we will need volunteers to help.

And for those that registered early enough, tee shirts and caps will be handed out at Time Trials on June 7, 2025

Below is the schedule for the season, mostly set in stone. But of course, some of the events may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

• Wednesday May 28, 2025 – First A Team Practice (both pools) see schedule below. (Note the schedule has changed a bit due to the overwhelming size of the pre-team)
• June 2, 2025, swim team assessments, this will take place during practices
• June 7, 2025, Time trials (James Creek Pool) starts at 8:00 AM, please be there at 7:45
• June 14, 2025, (A-Meet 1) – James Creek at Flower Hill (Away)
• June 16, 2025, (Pre-Team Practice Begins-Both Pools)
• June 18, 2025, (B-Meet 1) - James Creek at Ashton Swim Club (away)
• June 21, 2025, (A-Meet 2) – Fallsmead at James Creek (Home)
• June 21, 2025, movie night at James Creek
• June 25, 2025, (B-Meet 2) - James Creek at Norbeck Grove Swim Club (away)

• June 29, 2025 (Relay Carnival) – Away (I believe we are having it at Hillendale swim Club)
