Volunteer Requirements
MCSL is run and functions on volunteers. There are a multitude of positions but most of them involve timing at meets. There are always more jobs to help with: team rep, automation, officials, starter, stroke and turn, team social organizers and more. If you are looking to help out even more please let Coach Chris or the team reps know!
A reminder that every family is required to volunteer at least three times throughout the year! Please help the reps, the team and your swimmers by being ready to help.

Time Trials FAQ & Sign-Up
What time and where is the meet?
The meet will start at 7:50am at Potomac. Swimmers will be asked to arrive around 7:15am.
Who swims at Time Trials?
Our first meet is an intersquad meet - Potomac only. It's important that swimmers understand how meets work before we add another team of potentially 100+!
How do I know if my swimmer is ready?
If your swimmer is on the swim team - they're ready. Minnows will sit this meet out. It is super important to set a baseline at the beginning of the year to track progress as the summer goes on. Potomac is about getting better week to week as a team!
How do I know which events to sign my swimmer up for?
Sign your swimmers up for every event they can do. Swimmers cannot swim events they are not legal in. If they are not legal I will remove them from the meet prior to finalizing the entries. We will be ending each practice this week with 25s of each stroke to make sure swimmers know if they are legal or not.
How many events do I sign my swimmer up for?
If they can do all - they should do all!
What if my swimmer cannot attend Time Trials?
Swimmers who miss time trials can either time trial during practice or at our first B meet on June 16th.
What does my swimmer need for the meet?
Swimmers should wear their team suit, have their goggles ready and should wear a cap repping PO! We will be giving out team caps this week at practice and Saturday morning.
