About Our 2024 Season Coaches

Alex Shubert

Co-Head Coach

I couldn't be more excited to be coaching at Willowood! As a youngster, I swam for Willowood, Elizabethtown Aquatic Club, and EAHS. I finished my competitive swimming career at Juniata College.   My favorite events were breaststroke and the IM. I especially loved relays! My swim coaching experience includes 6 years as the EAHS Head Coach, 7 years at EAC, and one season as the head coach of Willowood sometime back in the early 90s!  I look forward to helping all Bluefins refine their strokes and improve their times this summer! If we haven't met, please take time to introduce yourself as well!

Sierra Kapcsos

Co-Head Coach

Hi everyone! My name is Sierra. I grew up swimming as a bluefin since I was 9 years old. Throughout my swimming career I also swam for EAC and Elizabethtown High School. My favorite event to swim was the 50 free and 100 IM. I am a student at Lebanon Valley College, majoring in Physical Therapy. At LVC I am a captain of the cross country team and a middle distance runner for track.  In my free time I love to do DIY projects, go thrift shopping with friends, go on walks, and spend time with my family! I am super excited to get to know all of you and to be a WWD coach this summer!

Genna McDonald

Assistant Coach

Hi, everyone! I am Genna McDonald, and I am very excited to be coaching at Willowood this summer! I swam with the team for 9 years (since I was 9 years old), and it was the highlight of every summer. I also was a high school swimmer and track athlete. When I swam, I was a butterfly and breaststroke specialist. Right now, I am continuing my education at West Chester University where I am studying elementary and special education and am a member of the track team. I enjoy working with kids, and I love being on the pool deck. I also spend my summers lifeguarding at Willowood. I'm excited to continue my career as a Bluefin by coaching our swimmers.

Nathan Yohn

Assistant Coach

Hello, I'm Nate. I spent 11 years swimming for WWD and was a member of both EAC and the EAHS swim team. Additionally, I played baseball for 13 years. In high school, my favorite events were the 50 & 100 freestyle. Currently, I am a student at Shippensburg University, where I am studying Information Systems & Analytics. In my free time, I like skiing, watching baseball, and spending time with friends. I'm also a lifeguard at WWD and Masonic Villages. I'm excited about the opportunity to coach this summer!
